What to say

I’m a senior in undergrad rn for CSD and basically everyone in my major is going to grad school. I’m not sure I want to go but I know everyone will be asking each other where they’re going when it gets closer to graduation. If I say I’m not going im going to feel ashamed so idk what to tell them…

Low energy?

So I’ve recently started exercising a lot more and eating less and now I have hardly any energy. It’s not even like “oh I’m tired” but it’s like painful to move. Idk if I’m being dramatic or is my deficit too big?

How to go about this?

I would like to lose 5-10lbs very quickly, preferably lose fat and maintain muscle. I’m a 22yr old, 5’5, 130 lb woman. Idk what to do…I know the biggest factor is diet, but if I go into a bigger deficit, I never have energy to exercise. So should I just focus on eating less and doing less or eating a little bit more and exercising (I hope that makes sense). Even then, I still have such low energy.
It’s so hard for me because I feel like I’m always thinking about food and always hungry.
I also don’t have access to a gym, just stuff at home (treadmill, elliptical, some weights) so idk what exercises to do (I usually just run).
I feel like I’m never happy with how I look and I just want to feel confident and healthy

Advice?

Hey everyone, I’m currently in my senior year of college and will be receiving a bachelors degree in communication sciences and disorders and am starting my application for grad school to become an SLP. However, I would like to explore some alternative options as well. I know this degree is primarily a preliminary degree, but is there any chance for me to get a different career path with it? I’m sorry if this is a stupid question, I just feel like where I’m at nobody is interested in helping me…

Advice?

Hey everyone, I’m currently in my senior year of college and will be receiving a bachelors degree in communication sciences and disorders. This is normally a preliminary degree to become an SLP. However, I would like to explore some alternative options. Would I be able to become a medical writer with this background?

How do I know?

How do I know if I need to eat more? Like how do I know if I lost my period due to underfueling or some other cause. I don’t want to eat more if that’s not what caused it.

I’m so tired

I just started classes and it’s all too much for me. I thought I wanted to recover but I feel like I need to choose between school and my health and rn school is the priority (though I wish it wasn’t). I’m so tired I just want to never have to do anything ever again😭idk what I’m supposed to do with myself anymore

Favorite population?

I’m not sure what I want to focus my studies on/ where I want to strive to work. Where are some of your favorite settings (school, hospital, etc) and favorite clients to work with (pediatrics, geriatric, etc) and why? Hopefully the responses will give me some ideas and spark an interest!!

Who do I tell?

Since I’ve been missing my period for around 4 months now, do I tell a doctor or should I try to heal it on my own? If I do tell a dr, should it be my primary care, a gyno, or an endocrinologist?

What do I do?

I’m going through a very emotional time in my life and it’s effecting not only me but the people around me. I’m just so miserable and I hate my life so much and idk what to do. Idk if I need to be on some sort of meds or if I can get through this without it. If I were to need meds, can I just message my primary care doctor and get them without an appointment? I just really don’t want to go and talk to them because I can’t express myself without bursting into tears.

Can’t stop crying

Is anyone else experiencing really intense emotions? Like I’m feeling very depressed, irritated, and cry about everything. I’m starting classes tomorrow and it feels like the end of the world to me right now. I would do anything to not go back… I don’t know what to do

Is it worth it?

Is being an SLP worth all of the school and time spent preparing for getting the certificate? If I don’t know if I want to pursue, would it be dumb of me to take a gap year?

Does this get better?

I’ve been losing a lot more hair recently and every single day after my lunch I get super tired and cold. I also keep waking up at like 5am and am unable to fall back to sleep. I have cut down my exercise and started to eat a lot more and while I only started committing to this recovery around 1.5 months ago, I’m not really seeing any changes🫤 does it just take more time for these symptoms to resolve or is it a sign of something else??

Recovery appetite

Hey guys…I’m trying to get my period back after losing it from restricting and over exercising. I know I need to eat more but some days I genuinely have zero appetite. It’s not even a mental restriction or anything but I’ll literally be standing in my kitchen thinking of what I can eat and everything sounds so nauseating. It’s like I want to eat but all of my options are so off-putting to me? And I feel like I’m never physically hungry either and when I eat an adequate amount I just feel sick. I’m not sure what to do…

Career options

Hey everyone! I’m going into my senior year for a bachelors in CSD. I know I have the options of pursuing graduate degrees in slp/audiology but are there any other options? Like what if I don’t want to go to grad school?

What do I do?

Hey everyone! For context: about 3yrs ago I lost my period for more than a year due to a severe ed, I ended up in the hospital in a coma for a few days, then recovered and got my period back (I stopped all exercise and gained like 50lbs in 4months😭). Well about 1yr ago I realized how insecure I was and decided to try to “healthily” lose some weight/gain muscle. It was a few months of exercising and eating in a small deficit and I lost some weight. But about 3 months ago I lost my period again…and I’m not sure what to do. Idk what happened bc I have been eating and exercise has become an integral part of my life that makes me feel better so I don’t want to completely stop again. I’ve tried to exercise a bit less and up my intake for around the last month and a half…Does anyone have any advice on what to do?

CSD Bachelors

Hi everyone! I’m currently going into my senior year as a communications sciences and disorders major. I honestly don’t think I want to go to grad school for slp or audiology atp…and I feel like an idiot for choosing such a constricting major. Are there any jobs that I can get with just a bachelors? Or am I screwed lol
