Heat wave. Unable to cool below 77. Is this ok?

12k unit from Costco. Overall happy with it and it’s making things comfortable in this heat wave. It struggles to cool to below 77 tho. Is this performance ok? Cooling a 240 sq ft living room with curtain blocking a living room. It’s really frickn hot outside, just wondering if this is similar to what you guys see. Eco off, drain plug removed.

Imusa carbon steel wok instructions correct?

I’m a bit confused why it mentions using med to low heat and using non-metal utensils to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Carbon steel is fine with high heat and metal utensils right? Also why does it mention non-stick fumes? Is this just language from their other products? I’m specifically trying to avoid teflon.

Just got my 2nd Midea, this is the 8k one from Home Depot. First few hours were fine, but now it’s making this very loud rattling noise? Anything to try before I return it? Settings are 72, auto, eco

Unable to control ac with both app AND remote?

I have a new 12k unit from Costco. Been controlling it from the SmartHome app which works fine. But my wife doesn’t have the app, and when trying to use the remote, it doesn’t work and the AP code shows. Also after trying to use the remote, the AC is always offline in the app and I can’t control it from there either. Only fix is to plug and unplug the unit.

So how do I control the ac with both the app and remote??? This is the stupidest thing that they can’t both work. Help please?

Any reason to NOT remove the drain plug?

I recently got the 12k BTU model from Costco and installed it before I heard about the problems with water and mold. My question is, should I remove the drain plug? Any reason not to do that? Thanks.

How to force beagle to let go of something

My retired lab beagle is obsessed with socks. We try our best to keep them out of reach but every now and then he grabs one and won’t let go.

We try to trade with a treat but that doesn’t work, surprisingly. With other dogs, I can pinch his cheeks into their teeth to get them to let go, but my beagle will hold on to the point of squealing from pain, don’t want to do this if I’m gonna hurt him.

Any other ideas on what we can do?
