Explosion and then power outage

Wife is home near Admiral and Yale and heard a loud explosion (sounds like from the North) and suddenly all the power dropped. PSO is showing 635 people are down, anyone know what happened?

Old Apple Orchard?

I have an elderly neighbor who will talk to absolutely anyone about how her family used to own all of the land around where we live, back in maybe the 1920s to 1930s. According to her, it all used to be nothing but apple orchards.

To be honest I don't know if it's true, she is...quite something. I am curious if anyone knows the history of the area though. It's the Sequoyah neighborhood (behind the cemetery near Admiral and Yale) and my house in particular was built in 1930, so I know it's got some older properties out there.

If nothing else, I wonder if the Tulsa Foundation for Architecture would know?
