Can I get into medicine despite not having mostly 9/8s?

I’m an aspiring medic in Year 11, who is also very anxious about GCSE results day.

I am worried I will only achieve 9998777665 - this is the worst case scenario by the way

Would I still be able to get into medicine and potentially go to Imperial,UCL or even Cambridge?

Does being diaspora actually matter so much?

I’m currently in Ethiopia and speak pretty god Amharic (like very fluently), but I fear I sound too diaspora? Do habeshas actually recognise it very much?

I am also Ethiopian and many tell me my Amharic is extremely good

Do I need Bio for Medicine?

I’m a yr11 going to yr12 in September, and I have heard many complaints of the insane amount of content in Bio and I’m quite scared 🥲

Tbh, Bio is not my favourite science but I enjoyed learning about the human body more than plants (so I hope that what A-level bio is mainly on)
However, I usually get 8-9s in the subject

To those pursuing med soon (or already in uni for med) , please let me know if:

Did doing A-level Bio help you understand the content in Medicine?

Is the content in Biology similar to the content in Medicine?

Is the amount of content in Biology actually that bad?
