Please find me something running a newer kernel

I've been hopping for a while, trying to troubleshoot different issues and i've concluded that something running kernel 7.1.4 at least is my best bet.

There is a bug affecting my wifi HW specifically that was introduced in 7.1 but fixed in 7.1.4.

I also was recommended to run something more recent due to my apparently new GPU that's not that well supported on older more stable kernels (RTX 5070TI) that i tried and on which i had issues with resolution & sound through HDMI.

i'm open to anything as long as it works for my system.

side question: is distrowatch a good source of checking distro details (in my case what kernel and nvidia drivers come with what distro) or do you have an alternative website?

Thanks in advance

Having issues with sound and resolution/refresh on a NVIDIA gpu in linux, what is a good distro that currently works?

My question is what is a good distro that works with NVIDIA GPU RTX 5xxxx series that has no or almost no issues with 2k/4k resolution and sound is ok through HDMI/DP->HDMI?

I've recently switch from W10 and i've been trying 2 distros for now but am having all sorts of issues that i'm troubleshooting almost every day since last week:
- can't pick (option is not showing and can't force) 2k 120HZ

-at 4k 50HZ screen is B&W

-at 4k 60HZ i get sound interruptions that get worse when i move the mouse cursor.
I have the hardware, i am sure of it because i have been using the exact setup in W10 without issues so it must be a driver problem.

*Edit: thanks in advance if you are trying to help me troubleshoot but i'm more interested if someone is actually using this GPU in linux on high resolution with success, what distro/driver/kernel are you using?
