Anyone willing to teach me how to fish?
Hey everyone. My dad died when I was 11, and we went fishing one time when I was a kid. But it was with nets. I miss the feeling of going fishing with him. I’m really intimidated of doing it on my own. I think I have all the gear. I just don’t know what to do.
I know this is a weird ask and also a long shot. But I live in Cambridge MA now. I just moved here. My ex FIL gifted me some fishing gear (poles, hooks, line, etc) a while back and we never got around to using it because obviously I got divorced. Is there anyone on the area willing to teach me how to fish one weekend?
If it matters. I’m 30M.
EDIT: Thank you so much everyone. This is a huge help. I’ve already connected with some military veteran fishing peeps out here since the consensus was to “go do it” and learn.
