hello people! i'm a high school student and aspiring filmmaker/editor looking to build experience and a portfolio. i'm enrolled in a broadcasting/journalism class in my school where I've edited a few 2-minute short films using premiere pro, and I'm also the master editor for our school newscast which entails learning to create a cohesive video from a large chunk of footage and inserting b-roll to match the video + lower 3rds
i’ve edited for at least 2 short films where i’ve been part of the pre production, production, and post production, and one has been entered into film festivals
i'm open to helping youtubers, short film creators, or anyone with video projects. i work hard and learn fast. if you have a project or need an extra pair of editing hands, i'd love to help!
rates: very cheap, as im just trying to get experience and build my portfolio as of now. im willing to do free work in exchange for letting me use it on my portfolio.

Hello! I'm going to be applying to DePaul's film and television program this coming fall, and I couldn't find where to direct a question like this on the website, so I'm gonna ask the students on here. Would directing credits on a social impact documentary be better than being a camera operator for a lower-stakes creative film? Recently, I've been a cameraman for one short creative exercise+sound/boom for the same video+boom for another video. I'm looking to direct my program's social impact, so I was just wondering if it would look good on my application. Thanks in advance!
We’re recreating Live your life by T.I as an assignment in my broadcasting class, and wow am i in for a long week. we are so cooked we are 3 people, im T.I, we don’t have a Rihanna but we will make it work😭
There’s no better way to get experience other than getting in there, am i right?
