Iowa’s oldest Jane Doe has been identified.
Cheryl Lynn Edwards, a Wisconsin teenager, was found floating in the Mississippi River near Clinton, IA, in 1975. She remained unidentified until genetic genealogy techniques were employed in 2026. Edwards was about ten weeks’ pregnant at the time of her death.
