Now that bots respawn multiple times like humans ive not had an air domination match end yet in a victory through capture of the point.

For those that don't have the trophy for winning 30 matches, is that trophy now almost impossible to obtain?

Has anyone had a win through capturing the point since the bot respawn update?

It used to be easy, kill most of the other team, and then crowd the zone.

Im glad i got this done before the update.

Whwn i try and statt a career mode

It starts me jmin a hangar and then lets me get in the plane.

It says start the plane....

100s of buttons and switches and no advice or guidance what buttons do what.

Am i missing something or am i expected to research the plane and literally learn how to fly before i can get into the game.

Surely theres a setting where it tells you what to press etc?

today I finally managed to unlock the last weapon item, i now have every weapon type available for every plane. I started 2 weeks after launch, after having had the game from launch day. so approx 4 months.

feels like an accomplishment!!!

So i've unlocked pretty much every weapon for every plane. BUT...

The one thing I had been struggling with was sinking ships with the SB2C-4 (USA Plane) you have to sink 7 to unlock both torpedos.

I have been trying for weeks to (unsuccessfully) sink ships. focusing all my 4 planes (lives) trying to take out battleships just wasn't happening (I sank NONE like this).

But today I found the best and by far easist way to do this..

ONLINE BATTLE MODE ONLY

The map you need is 'Operation Midway'. If you enter a map and its not Op Midway just click the back arrow and when you get back to the hanger go to battle again, keep doing this til you get the right map (took me about 15-20 attempts GRRRR

Set all your weaponry to the best guns you have (i used ground targets and had my secondary weapon set as the cannon with AP rounds)

When you enter the map be warned you take off from a ship and may lose a life with the dodge ship take off (hitting the ships cannons or the ship bobbing up in the water causing you to crash) .

When you get in the air head to the right of Island A (the righmost island) you wont see them until you get close to the island but there are 2 group of 4 troop carrier boats,One group of 4 is to the right of island A, the other group of 4 is just towards the back of island A. These boats have very little armour and can be shot with guns & cannons on 1 or 2 good passes.

If you are good at aiming you can get them out on sea, if you struggle hitting moving targets when they hit the beach they are sitting ducks. when you take out all 4 of one group start on the other.

In 1 match i managed to destroy 5 boats before the match ended and i had to start another match (another 20 tries of getting the Op Midway level) and got the last 2 I needed.

I have not managed to find these little boats on any other specific maps yet but this worked for me and now i only have 1 weapon to unlock on my final plane, but i FINALLY got the torpedos I never thought i'd get.

Just wanted to share this tactic with you

TLDR

To unlock torpedos use Operation Midway map and take out the 8 (only need 7) small boats to the right of island A

recently ive noticed a huge leap in my dogfighting performance, I have been playing with the bad/more difficult planes and now ive unlocked all the weaponry have started using my planes of choice.

in a match the other day I shot down 12 in a battle, in another I wasn;t even really trying (was going for assists) and i ended up getting 8+ kills in a few matches.

my question to people is whats the most kills you have had in a match?

do you feel yourself getting much better?

I remember when i started playing i was happy if i got 1 or 2 in a match, and i could never hit the land targets, now i feel a bit of a pro!

My bike was in sport mode and the ground was wet. I was exiting a roundabout and got on the throttle.

The bikes rear end snaked and how i was not thrown off i cant understand.

My left and right ankles were whacked by the footpegs, my right wrist hurt by being thrown forward up wayyyy off the seat, also got whiplash in my left shoulder.

Basically im in agony in 4 parts of my body and shaken up.

Been riding for 20 years and had the zero since 2024. Worst and scary moment of my biking life.

Has anyone else had scary tankslapping moments in the wet?

I forget my 2022 zero does not have TC and the torque in sport mode is incredible.

I have ben playing AoT on PSVR2 since launch and recently got Microsoft Flight Simulator. However my base/OG PS5 was... not the greatest platform for MSFS. so I decided to convince my wife to let me buy a 3rd (2 upstairs in games room, put the obselete one in the living room) PS5 and upgrade and buy the PS5 PRO.

I decided to quickly put on AoT to see what the daily challenges were for me.... and... OMG.

For starters when the game opens the black screen with white AoT lettering list oddly crisp and clear, I was quite surprised and between the couple of seconds it was taking to the server i wondered if the game would be any different.

Well....

OMG (again) the game looks phenomenal, its so clear, so crisp, so frsh and smooth. The details on the plane outside in the hangar was very impressive, so i loaded up a match.

OMG (yet again) the cockpit, whilst highly detailed on base OG PS5 was something, but on the PS5 PRO this is something else, I was gobsmacked how clear the cockpit was, the view out of the window was perfect to the vanishing point.

Now, im not a tech guy, I have no idea whether its resolution, framerate, upscaling, PSSR or whatever but what i can say is the difference is mind-blowing.

Ig you have £800 to spare or are considering an upgrade don't consider it any mor, just get it.

Oh BTW, i never did get round to putting MSFS on i'm yet to see how that compared.

my verdict: AoT on PS5 PRO is infinitly better.

Which planes do people prefer to use in battle? And which ones do people hate.

I hate the D4Y3 and love the FW190 A-4

I know its a bit hypocritical as I have not yet got the platuinum, but i'm nearly there and really just the double ace to go, but in my defence i have not been even attempting it yet.

But all the other trophies unlock so soon, for example the 'Ace' trophies (destroy 100 planes) and such like, should they all have been 1000 planes, and the destroy 10 ground could have been 100 or 500 (encourage more ground attacks). the get 1 assist, coule realistically be get 100 assists.

I think this would mean the game would take a lot longer to platinum and improve longevivity, for me when I get a platinum i tend to play a game less and move onto a new one as much fun as it is there seems no big draw.

to keep my attention i'm focussing more on unlocking every ammo belt, every bomb ets and all the decals. trying to restrict myself to just doing the daily targets, that seems to be slowing my progress enough. I do hope the devs add more game modes.

Does anyone know if the progress is saved locally or on the server?

Im hitman for example my progress is saved online and i can log in on any of my consoles and carry on with progress.

I want to know if i can do the same with AoT. Or if i log on another console will i lose all unlocks and progress??

The Decals you can unlock through doing daily challenges, I'm currently at 145 (23%), so at an average of 2 challenges a day it should take me about another 10 months

I played microsoft flight simulator on psvr2 today and i can tell you first hand the control scheme is abysmal. The UI and controls etc on AoT are amazing in comparisson.

Unfortunately i now need to sell MSFS and its gonna cost me a big hit. Really disappointed as i was looking forward to playing it. Just dont want to have to juggle HOTAS, dualsense and vr controllers at once.

How on earth people can give that game good reviews is beyond me.

is there any way to add players and join lobbies with set people?

if there is and people do this i'd appreciate the add...
