Went 2-1 and placed 5th Using Vindication Task Force and Wrathful Procession

Hello fellow crusaders! Yesterday, I went to a tournament and placed 5th overall. I just wanted to let you know how it ran and I've attached my list so you can see what I used. I used Vindication Task Force and Wrathful Procession with the Take and Hold Disposition.

Round 1 - VS Ultramarines (Librarius Conclave/Reclamation Force - Reconnaissance)

Take and Hold vs Recon was the one mission I had planned for that seemed the hardest to score full primary on, and I was right. That being said, it's also difficult for Recon to score without being close enough to be killed. This list was tough, with a Victrix squad, Bladeguard with Tigurius, and Sternguard with a Librarian. He has a RepEx, but I was able to kill it with Sword Brethren turn 1. A bad turn of battleshocks by him, as well as the dice just not being on his side, and I just pulled away in the end. I won 90-71 (the score was submitted incorrectly because I accidentally gave him the 10 painted points)

Round 2 - VS Blood Angels (Angelic Inheritors - Priority Assets)

My game plan was simple for this matchup. Hold my home and expansion, flood the center objectives, and ignore my opponent's expansion and home. This guy brought three 6-man bricks of Sanguinary Guard with Jump Captains, a 10-man JPI squad with Jump Chaplain, a 5-man JPI squad, and 3 plasma inceptors. He also had a Gladiator Lancer with some other utility units. I went first and set up very conservatively. My Execrator squad set up on the very back edge of one central objective while one Redeemer toed the other one. My opponent's turn 1 saw one Sang Guard get a millimeter away from my expansion objective and fail their charge. He also did not move anything onto the center. My turn 2 was a bloodbath. My Emp Champ and a Redeemer wiped 1 Sanguinary Guard off the map. The crusader squad in that Redeemer disembarked and made a charge onto his home objective and killed the 5 JPIs and an intercessor squad. He blundered and rapid ingressed his 10 JPIs in line of sight of my other Redeemer and were subsequently killed down to the chaplain. The Sword Brethren in that Redeemer charged and killed the Sanguinary Guard down to the captain. The dice once again fizzled for my opponent and his Sanguinary guard fell to the volume of AP 0 and -1 attacks. It was complete domination by the Black Templars as I won 100-43.

Round 3 - Imperial Knights (Freeblade Company - Purge the Foe)

The final round was rough because it's Knights and my opponent went too fast for me to catch him on things. My opponent went first and - it being impossible to hide everything in my deployment, he killed a land raider with a volcano lance and my Execrator crusader squad (which I now realize as I type this that the Crusader Squad was hidden and should not have been able to have been shot). With a Knight Castellan, Crusader, Gallant, Lancer, and 2 Armigers to deal with and already losing two units, I knew it was going to be a rough final match. I was able to destroy the Armigers, and it took a deadly demise from my Impulsor to finally bring down the Lancer. However, I just didn't have the strength to bring down the big guys and was tabled turn 5. I was able to hinder his scoring. His previous totals were 98 and 100. Before I could even shake his hand for a good game, he submitted the score as 86-53, wrongly giving himself the paint bonus. He also did not shake my hand. He got first place for the tournament.

Overall thoughts:

Having Take and Hold with really sturdy ancient squads is fun. I didn't really gain anything from the Chaplain units having 5+ invuln against range, but the Chaplain detachment giving access to Take and Hold was worth it IMO. I'm sure another 1DP detachment could work well. Marshall's household would have been nice in the final match for the OC boost.

Let me know what you think down below. I'm also happy to answer any questions if you want more clarification on things!
