My wife drinks tea daily and uses a plastic electric tea kettle. She read that microplastics leach from the kettle when heating and wants to find something that isn't a health hazard. What do the Brits use as a kettle?

My wife applied for SS retirement benefits on March 31. The site said it would take about 30 days to process. Well, it has been almost 50 days and there have been no updates. Wondering how long it has taken others to get approval lately.
