Is the £41,700 standard salary rate based on 37.5 hours/week?
Currently on the HPI visa and started talks with my employer on switching to SWV. All full time contracts at my company are 36 hours. My salary is only some 900 under the 41.7k now and I’ve offered to work more hours to bring it above the 41.7k. I see that the GovUK site explicitly states the going rates are calculated based on 37.5 hours, but I can’t find anything reputable saying how many hours the standard rate of 41.7k is based on.
If it’s also calculated that way, could I argue that I‘m paid an equivalent rate without increasing my work hours?
