Amount of carrier oil for evaporated tincture (photo for reference)

Amount of carrier oil for evaporated tincture (photo for reference)

I am ready to add the tincture remaining into a new carrier oil. Based on how much has evaporated, or other aspect...how much oil would you use to improve the taste. It no longer smells of everclear. Liquid was at the rubber bands, after the freezer, post decarb (of course)

Would love any wisdom you care to drop. Thanks!

Started with 12g and 220ml of everclear. (D Sailor @ 34.57% THC)

Midway in tincture journey, your crazy/fantastic opinion is wanted

Prepare:

12g of D Sailor (yes i forgot all the deets except THC = 34.79.

Decarbed in an insta pot

Bud and everclear (220ml) in a freezer for 6 days, shaken daily, or a bit more.

Removed from freezer, brought to room temp

Filtered everclear solution though multiple coffee filters and a cheese cloth

Put back in the closet with a rubber band to monitor the evaporation of everclear.

Checked it tonight, about 1cm down (pics included) smells like hard core everclear.

What would be your steps

Thanks peeps. Keep cookin

First/Second image shows what has evaporated. The other two, i wanted to check the color, it was only in light for about 30 seconds.

Smells like hard booze, it may taste different, but what say you?

Thanks peeps

First CannaSugar (couple mistakes, solid outcome)

First run of canna sugar. Started with decarbed Runtz (14g) soaked in ~220ml of 195 Everclear. Prefroze both overnight, mixed then next day, and left that in the freezer for 5 days, shaking multiple times a day. After taking it out of the freezer and letting it come up to room temp, I lost my mind and forgot to strain the tincture before adding it to 2C of sugar. Mixed thoroughly, left in pyrex dish for ~3 days, mixing multiple times a day to avoid clumping, covered with cheese cloth. Once completely dry, sifted through multiple types of strainers removing as much plant material as possible. Pulverized sugar clumps with a roller/jar, which kept the plant material in tact, allowing more sugar to be sifted. Clearly some left in the final product.

80mg/tsp. Other than the plant material, which doesn't really bother me, it came out fantastic.

Decarbing for Tincture - opinion on Freezing methods

I have a 1/2 Z decarbing in an insta-pot and plan on mixing it with 195% everclear to make tincture and perhaps some sugar.

I plan on taking out the flower, letting it cool and then prepping for the tincture.

I have been reading some posts about placing them both into the freezer separate for ~24 hours, then mixing stirring vigorously for minutes, and others that include freezing both for a period of time, mixing the two, and then freezing for another ~24 hours shaking/mixing every 3 hours or so.

Do you have a preferred method?
