For anyone struggling with magic archer in Norgan...
At the start of your adventure Sagittate Avalanche will not be as effective. In Norgan you will need to change strategy.
There are 2 skills that made my experience enjoyable since i started the DLC :
Boltchain stake : This skill is great for bosses and multiple enemies running straight at you. DO NOT AIM : Just press the spell and land as many as you can (on ground, on enemies) while moving. It will act as shock trap that pin down bad buys and stop them from getting at you or your team, on top of adding tons of dmg over time. Get the updated version as soon as you can through spoils it really makes a difference.
Blazefang arrow : This skill genuinely melts stuff. Same thing : DO NOT AIM it is a waste of time and it puts you in danger ! Land one or two in combat while moving, watch it explodes and burn creatures.
When these spells are effective on the battlefield, use your passive (protacting arrow) to add element to any arrow you shoot for a little while.
You can then, and only then, use saggitate avalanche on enemy weakpoints !
Saggitate avalanche works best when there are multiple flying enemies or when there is no immediate threat.
I really like the fact that you need to actively think which arrow to use now. Before the DLC Magic archer was way too strong for my liking. You basically spammed Sagittate and everything died. Now it needs proper setup and good use of relevant skills to stay alive as it lacks any survability.
My twink elf is both a great damage dealer and a great support (kills setup and healer) for the team. If you have given up on magic archer don't ! You just need to get used to the new playstyle.
