rutgers vs cornell (philo)
i recently got off the waitlist for cornell and i've lowk double deposited bc i needed time to think about it this week, but i just wanted to ask for some advice on what i should do 🥺
rutgers:
- way more prestigious for philosophy, cornell on the other hand is very preprofessional it seems
- cheaper by 10k~15k (oos for both schools)
- more academically enriching?
- heart is alr kinda committed to rutgers
- NB probably not the best place to be, but more urban & chill
- less grade deflated (important for law school admissions)
cornell:
- slightly more prestigious overall internationally
- further from home (which im happy about)
- better food + dorms (from what i hear), prettier campus
- more opportunities for finance recruiting if i decide against going to law school
** edit: thanks for all the perspectives :) this was really helpful (especially given that i probs have to make a decision by this weekend to not get in trouble w either school) eek im actually so cooked my heart is screaming rutgers but i might be biased cuz i've been excited abt moving in for the last 3 months 😭😭
