A little update

An update to this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/GelX\_Nails/s/oJf8nAzkis

First off, thank you to everyone that gave advice, kind words, and support on my last post. I read every comment, and appreciate it more than I can say!

The first three pics were right after the nail removal and the last three were after I cleaned, trimmed and treated my fingers.

So, I saw my doctor this morning and she gave me a topical steroid cream and an antibiotic ointment. I used the steroid cream for the first time tonight, and hopefully I’ll see some improvement soon!

As for the nail removal, I tried to go to a different salon, but they seemed hesitant to provide a removal service and I completely understand that. I ended up going to the same salon that put the set on. I figured they’d do it for free and I could ask for a refund at the same time.

BOY WAS I WRONG ABOUT THAT!!!! The woman that took them off was nice enough, but they soaked my nails off even when I asked for foils. The manager was dismissive of my situation and deflected blame towards me even after I told him what my doctor had said. They charged me for the removal service and my angel of a sister covered it, but I didn’t even bother asking for a refund. We’re going to dispute the transactions tomorrow. Maybe I should have pressed the issue, but I was drained, in pain and actively crying and I just wanted to get home.

So now I’m just going to focus on healing and processing the whole situation. One day I’ll definitely look into potential nail enhancement alternatives, but that won’t be for quite some time lol!

Thanks again for all the suggestions, encouragement, and advice, and I look forward to seeing everyone’s sets in the future!!! 💛💛💛

I’m wondering what’s going on with my latest set

These pictures were taken earlier today. I know they need to come off, but the soaking and Dremel process will hurt so so much as they are right now and I’m hoping for some tips to manage it so the removal process won’t be so bad? Any advice/tips would be appreciated!
