Does friends torches give you boost?

Why when you light friends torches, do you get a light in the breeding interface for a brief period? Does this mean you get the breeding boost? Why does it go away quickly after?

Renting without viewing

Me and my partner (students) are trying to find a place to live in York. We've had issues trying to find somewhere to rent because we cannot attend viewings. Neither of us live in York at the moment, nor do we know anyone who could attend for us. We made the trip up for one viewing whilst we were still keen and eager, but now we've been rejected from multiple flats (presumably because we're students and employed tenants are more desirable) it just doesn't make sense taking the time effort and money to travel and walk around a one bed flat for 5 minutes just for them to choose someone else every time. Lots of estate agents have not allowed us to apply without in person viewings. Does anyone have any advice? Yes we've looked into actual student accommodation but it's all dead ends.

▲ 1 r/sleep

TLDR; My boyfriend doesn't snore when he's on his side but I have to keep waking up to tell him to stop rolling out of position.

My boyfriend and I are twenty years old and have been sleeping in the same bed every night for the last two years. I am an incredibly light sleeper. When my boyfriend sleeps on his back he snores (with or without nose tape) or he does this thing where his nose and mouth fight over which one is doing the breathing which makes these loud wooshing sounds. Obviously this stops me from sleeping, but when my boyfriend sleeps on his side he is practically silent. This would solve the issue, however this brings another issue of him continually rolling back onto his back bringing about the snoring again. So this results in a night where I'm woken up, have to wake him up and tell him to go on his side, then he falls back asleep pretty much instantly and it takes me a good few minutes to get back to sleep, then once I do I get to sleep for an hour before he rolls again. Earplugs do help but I'm afraid they're not good for my ears and they also can be uncomfortable to sleep in. Does anyone have any advice?
