Hey everyone,

I’m trying to understand if this is normal in AWS hiring process.

I had a screening call with the recruiter for a Data Center Technician role, and it went really well. She was very positive during the call, mentioned relocation support for Sparks,NV , and asked for my availability for the next interview rounds.

After that, I shared my interview availability dates, but I never received a confirmed interview schedule.

Now it has been around 15 days with no response from the recruiter. Today, I also noticed my candidate portal changed to “no longer under consideration,” but I did not receive any official rejection email.

What’s confusing is:

• Initial screening call was very positive
• Recruiter mentioned relocation bonus and next steps
• Now portal shows rejected but no email

Is this normal for AWS hiring process?

Specifically wondering:

• Do recruiters sometimes go silent even after positive screening calls?
• Does “no longer under consideration” usually mean the role is closed internally?
• Is it common to not receive a rejection email?

Just trying to understand if this is a normal AWS process or if I should assume it’s fully closed.
