Bootcamp Question
Hi everyone,
I own several different MacBook Pro models and have recently been experimenting quite a bit with Boot Camp, especially since Legacy Patcher may no longer be a reliable long-term option for my needs.
The best setup I have found so far is to restore the Mac to the highest officially supported version of macOS, then immediately install Windows 10 through the Boot Camp Assistant. In my experience, keeping macOS installed in the background seems to provide better overall functionality compared to running Windows as a standalone installation.
Does anyone know why this might be the case? My assumption is that the Apple/macOS side may still be handling firmware updates, drivers, system-level compatibility, or other hardware-related functions that help Windows operate more smoothly through Boot Camp.
I would appreciate any insight or technical explanation from others who have experience with this type of setup.
Thanks, everyone.
