The game where Hikaru achieved the new high score
Hikaru reaches an all-time high (for anyone ever) on chess.com blitz rating.

Made a silly chess site where you can draw your own pieces, customize all styles, even upload custom CSS like the good old days (i.e. Myspace)
Comes with some silly presets that evoke the design sensibilities of the early internet, and for complete chaos a randomize variables button. But the real aim here to satisfy the creative chess player who always thought: wouldn't it be cool if I could totally customize the online chess experience. Or if you, like me, are nostalgia for a bygone internet when you could make a site your own with some handwritten CSS.
It uses the lichess board API so you can play live Rapid and Classical games, but not blitz or bullet. It would be my hope that these time controls one day be exposed on the public API as has been done for the Take Take Take app.

Playing with concept for epaper digital scoresheet
Been programming an M5Paper dev board as a proof of concept Digital Scoresheet device - the kind you can use in a tournament if you have a motor disability and can't hold a pen, or you're too young to write, or whatever. It's an epaper touch screen so entering the moves is a click piece, the click destination action. The cool innovation here I think is that when you're done with the game you can generate a QR code that exports the PGN to your phone and you can review it on Chesscom or Lichess with another click. The PGN data is all encoded in the QR code so the device stays offline at all times.
Note this is not a commercial product, just a fun proof of concept. If you are a manufacturer of these types of things please feel free to steal the QR code idea and I'll buy one of your devices!
Ported my custom Chess software to android app wrapper so it can run on RG Rotate
I started this project for my RG34xxsp then the Rotate arrived in the mail... so I got it running as an android app. It's got an opening trainer, pass and play mode, analysis board, timer (for over-the-board IRL play), and even can connect to lichess servers for online play. It's built on the Love2D game engine, mostly coded by Claude though I help a little bit here and there. On the SP you activate the "chess clock" by nudging either of the joysticks. On the Rotate I added screen touch support so you just tap your side of the screen (Similar to other phone-based Chess clock apps).
Made a Chess opening trainer program for my RG34XXSP
With the help of some vibecoding tools, I used Love2D to create a "game" where you learn chess openings. Borrowed the Love runtime from the Balatro port from PortMaster. Kind of like Chessable if you know that app.
