Don't feel pressured to upgrade.
In broad daylight, there really isn't a reason to upgrade your phone for better camera performance. Don't concern yourself with pixel peeping. Unless you always constantly take low light shots, spending over a thousand dollars for marginal upgrades is bad economics.
