I'm here for 2 nights, and have an itch to play badminton.
Unfortunately I have no idea how to find a social here. I'm an intermediate player.
Anyone know of any socials and location? I would need to rent a racquet as well
Cheers
Are they interchangeable?
Corporate once me to use more Codex. But I have VSCode+ Claude extension set up with a good folder structure and a pretty good architecture going, with Claude.md
Have never used Codex, is it possible to just get Codex extension and point it to the same local folders and ask it to read .md files, or is there any tips
Appreciate any guru advice
Hey Audcorpos,
As the title suggests I work for a mechanical services firm doing fitouts for a large corporate.
Senior management has made a move last week that my direct reports will no longer report to me and that they will report to my direct line manager for a flatter reporting structure. ( I only had 4 direct reports)
Should I be concerned? Generally my performance has always been good and above average, and I tend to get along with most people in the org.
Part of me feels that I can spend less time doing administrative people leader things (I already have it on my resume now anyway), and more time actually doing work, so part of me thinks this is good.
But the other part of me sees it as a step towards removing my reporting lines, and possibly redundancies in future.
Is a flatter org structure always a bad thing? I know some larger tech companies like Amazon tend to like flatter structures and individual contributors.
