Is dental tourism in Colombia actually worth it? I wasn't expecting this answer

I was expecting the answer to be basically "because it's cheaper."

but apparently there's a lot more to it than that.

depending on the clinic and the treatment, people can get things like digital scans, 3D imaging, custom treatment planning and different types of cosmetic/restorative work while they're in Colombia.

and obviously... you also get to be in Colombia lol

I'm still not saying I'd book a flight without doing a ton of research first. I'd want to see actual cases, understand exactly what's included, know who is doing the treatment and figure out what happens after I go back home.

but the whole dental tourism thing makes a lot more sense to me now.

Soy nuevo en el gaming, algun consejo?

Tengo 29, mi esposo me regaló un ps5 y me gustaría empezar a jugar algunas cosas (a él no le gusta mucho jugar) alguna recomendación de juegos online? Me gustaría hacer algunos amigos y poder jugar fornite o algún juego online. Ideas?

The most expensive dental treatments usually start as something small.

I used to think a cavity was just... a cavity.

Turns out that's not really how it works.

If it's caught early, it might only need a filling. But if you keep putting it off, the decay can spread deeper into the tooth. That can eventually mean a crown, a root canal, or even losing the tooth altogether.

It was one of those things I never really thought about until I saw how the treatment changes depending on when it's caught.

Kind of makes those regular dental checkups seem a lot more worth it.

What happens if you have a problem after dental work in Colombia?

This was honestly one of my biggest concerns before looking into dental tourism.

What if something feels off once I'm back home? Am I just on my own?

From what I've learned, good clinics usually don't disappear after your last appointment. Most offer follow-up support through video calls, messages, or photos if you have questions during recovery.

If you ever need an adjustment or there's an actual issue, that's where the clinic's warranty and follow-up policy become really important. It's something you should ask about before booking, not after.

Personally, I'd always ask these questions first:

Do you offer virtual follow-ups?
What does your warranty cover?
Who do I contact if I have questions once I'm home?

No dentist can promise that nothing will ever need attention, whether you're in the US or Colombia. What matters is knowing you'll still have support if you need it.

For anyone who's had dental work abroad, how was your experience after you got home?
