help needed!!! cv1 area parking
I am a Warwick university student and I've just moved into the CV1 area. Every road around here is permitted and it is impossible for students to get parking permits. I fully understand the need for permitted roads and how if everyone brought their cars there simply would not be enough space on the roads.
That being said, my circumstances pretty much require me to have a car. I woke until midnight several nights a week and I have pretty severe OCD which really restricts my ability to use public transport. There is only 1 car at my household and I drive all my housemates to and from uni, to the shops, wherever they need to go really.
I know my options are quite limited. I might have to just firm it and pay the PCNs when they come through but this is obviously not ideal.
I have a few questions for people in the CV1 area:
- What is parking enforcement like around here? Are they here regularly i.e., several times a week?
- Do you know of any rentable car spaces nearby?
- Would it be possible for an individual living in my area to put down my car for a visitor permit (of course I would pay the cost) so that I can park on the road?
- Are there any options I haven't thought of yet?
