Oh man…

What do you guys think I should do w this poor confused, furry gal? Flowered early, then revegged something nasty (Next year, i‘ll start them outside!). I’ve been periodically yanking fistfuls of single-tip leaves off, but she’s still bonkers unruly. Any thoughts? stay the general course? 25 gallon pot of amended soil. thanks for any recommendations.

What an unholy mess!

25 gallon pot of amended soil, living in a very airy and dry greenhouse w tons of fans. Next year, i‘ll start outside!

Humble Student Seeks Re-veg master

Hi friends. All four of these plants are wrestling w reveg in their own way. Is there a general consensus about how best to deal with this? What to remove? Is topping still an option at this point? I just don't really have a feeling for where these plants are in the process! Thanks for any guidance! Each plant is in 25g of soil, in a very lightweight / open greenhouse w fans above.

Humble student seeks ReVeg Master

Hi friends. All four of these plants are wrestling w reveg in their own way. is there a general consensus about which leaves to remove and when? do you all focus on the weirdo single leaves from the reveg? I’m assuming they won’t develop to normal leaves? thanks for any guidance! Each plant is in 25g of soil. Outside since late May.

Oh dang she got tall!

hey friends — last week, I fimmed this late-to-the-party gal, and lightly tied down some branches. Since, the center stalk has shot up 18+ inches! we’ve had some cloudy days, which may have contributed? anyhow, the stem is still malleable, so I could tie her down. but not sure if that’s necessary outside. I could also raise her off the ground 1-2 feet (reducing any impact of nearby taller plants). Thanks for any thoughts! 5 weeks old, growing in ten gallons of amended soil in a very open greenhouse w fans.

Anyone purchased a cavapoo from a breeder who doesn’t do OFA testing?

Was planning to go see a 10-week-old pup tomorrow. Two hour drive. Found the breeder via online reviews — “I got mine from so-and-so, and she’s excellent.” Impressive website, backstory, etc, and omg they have one pup left from a litter of five.

i contacted, and communication over the last couple days has been equally solid — not to mention lots of pics and vids of the breeder’s daughter playing w the dog / carrying it in a sling / even trying to potty-train the pup.

BUT… the breeder mentioned a very faint <1/6 heart murmur. From what I understand, it’s not incredibly uncommon, especially among excited puppies. Naturally, I’d want to have the tests looked at by my own vet. But in reading about heart murmurs, I came across OFA tests, which I’d never heard about. It turns out this breeder has not had their parent dogs OFA screened. Is this a total red flag?

Ps. We have a happy 13.5-yo cavapoo. I don’t recall discussing OFA testing when we purchased him long ago, but we‘ve been very fortunate w his health. Thanks to all for any thoughts.

Advice about early outdoor flowering?

This summer I've got four photos in 25g pots of amended soil. They vegged for approx 45 days indoors before coming outside last month. Despite my best efforts to match indoor / outdoor light, the transfer outside set them flowering -- some more than others. Next year, I'll just start outside in April -- I've learned my lesson!

My question: At this point, any thoughts on how best to navigate the re-veg situation? They've been outside for a month now. Further top any strident or heavy-flowering branches? Defoliate? Simply be patient and stay the course? Thanks for any thoughts, and wishing everyone well on their grows!

PS. In case anyone is wondering, like last year, these plants are surrounded by the shell of a mobile greenhouse -- essentially just a roof w netting on all sides that I rigged up to keep the horrible lantern flies at bay. But very much outside!

Seeking advice on early flowering

I have four photos in 25g pots of amended soil. Like last year, they are in a very open plastic greenhouse w netting (lantern flies!), w even more overhead fans than last year (thrips!). Despite my best efforts to match indoor / outdoor light, the transfer outside set them flowering -- some more than others. Next year, I'll just start outside in April -- I'm sold!

My question: At this point, any thoughts on how best to navigate the re-veg situation? They've been outside for a month now. Further top any strident or heavy-flowering branches? Defoliate? Simply be patient and stay the course? Thanks for any thoughts, and wishing everyone well!

Seeking advice.

I have four photos in 25g pots of amended soil. Like last year, they are in a little greenhouse (lantern flies!), w even more overhead fans than last year (thrips!). Despite my best efforts to match indoor / outdoor light, the transfer outside set them flowering -- some more than others. Next year, I'll just start outside in April -- I'm sold!

My question: At this point, any thoughts on how best to navigate the re-veg situation? They've been outside for a month now. Top any strident branches again? Defoliate? Simply be patient and stay the course? Thanks for any thoughts, and wishing everyone well!

One very sad arm. This plant (a vanilla frosting growing in 25g of soil) has been the weak link so far. Smaller leaves, thinner branches. But noticed this one very sad main arm this morning. Wonder if it’s recoverable? Or what could cause this? Hope everyone’s grows are going well!

Is one of my four outdoor gals flowering? If so, I suppose I’ll just give it time to get back on track? But anything else I should do? Really tried to sync the light when transitioning from indoor to outdoor this year, & thought I waited till we were at 14+ of outdoor light. But alas.

Hi friends. Learning a little each year -- too little, but oh well.

Here you see five plants in 3g pots of lightly amended soil. Four of these plants are bound for outdoors, into four 30g pots of amended soil currently cooking outside in an open greenhouse tent. In theory, I gotta wait another month -- till Mother's Day. I'd love to put them out in a couple weeks, but re-vegging is a joy I'd prefer avoid. As you can see, it'll be tight!

Today I learned I could avoid the whole hardening off / transition / re-veg fun by simply starting the dang plants outside in the first place (when it's warm enough of course). Hilarious! Perhaps I assumed the light would be insufficient, or cause it to flower early. Just never really thought about it. Naturally, I know there are advantages to an indoor head start, but it also seems to introduce some factors -- especially if you don't plan well! :)

Soooooo, what to do?

 1. Stay the course! In fact, why not top those gals yet again? Mother's day will be here before you know it!
 2. Change course! 2a. Veg these indoor gals a bit more, then flip. 2b. Plant new seeds directly in big outside pots in a couple weeks.

Any strong votes and reasons? Thanks everyone.
