Seven Wonders of the Art World?

So my family was looking up the seven natural wonders of the world (grand canyon, mount everest, etc) and the seven wonders of the ancient world (e.g. hanging gardens of babylon)... I got to thinking. What would the seven wonders of the art world be? I had a couple of thoughts to seed the discussion, like the Sistine Chapel by Michelangelo, or A Sunday Afternoon by Seurat, or even the Lascaux caves in France. What do you all think? Can we pick 7 across so many time periods/styles that represent monumental shifts?

Multiple rookie question about "ropes", please help

  • Question 1: is it true that sailors poke fun at rookies when we call them "ropes"? Rookie sailor here - i say this sometimes, but correct myself and call them "lines".
  • Question 2: let's say all "ropes" are lines, but some lines are called sheets. I know that the lines that control the jib/main are sheets, but should they always be called sheets? - would it be rookie to call them lines? Let's say I were to get good enough to actually be a race captain. Would I tell my crew "Jib line" or "Jib Sheet" / "Main line" or "Main sheet"?
  • Question 3: Is there an appropriate time to call a line a rope?
