I need me a mentor. Really uncertain about my future here in the UK.
Hi everyone, I'm 21 and currently in my final year of an Accounting & Finance degree. I'm feeling quite lost about my future and would really appreciate some advice.
I have one accounting internship back in my country and other work experience outside accounting here in the UK. I'm worried about finding a graduate job in the UK that offers visa sponsorship. My family is here, and I'd really like to stay and build my future here, but if I can't find a suitable job, I may have to leave.
I have another possible option, which is getting sponsored through a care job. However, I'm torn between taking that opportunity to stay in the UK and continuing to pursue accounting, which is what I've spent years studying for.
I don't know what the best decision is, and I'm worried about giving up on my accounting career.
Has anyone been in a similar situation? What would you do if you were in my position? I'd really appreciate any advice, and if anyone is willing to offer mentorship, I'd be very grateful.
