please help, what do i do?

hi everyone, i moved my girl miss onion to a different tank while addressing an ammonia issue in her main tank. she was experiencing some fin rot from the ammonia, and this morning i noticed that it was getting worse, so that’s when i decided to move her. after doing so, the net i used to move her was coated in a decent amount of slime. she developed the raised spots on her front half after being moved this morning. she has also started experiencing some buoyancy issues since being moved. the back half of her body, past her dorsal fin, has been like that for a bit. that is not a result of moving her and i am fairly certain it is her body healing from a previous injury. i am not sure what to do for her ☹️ tank parameters have been attached, tank is about 74°F. TIA for any help

fungus or something else?

hi everyone! my girl miss onion has been doing so much better!! i just noticed this morning though that it appears she’s maybe got a little bit of fungus on her dorsal/tail fin and the back part of her body. (the yellowing is unrelated, i’ve determined she’s healing from a prior injury!) if this is fungus, what is the best course of action? she’s acting totally normal, eating normally and no lethargy/clamped fins! water temp is 74°f, and parameters are attached!

i am doing a 25% water change today to address the ammonia!

is this gas bubble disease on my dojo loach?

hi everyone! i am trying to figure out what is going on with my female dojo loach, miss onion, as she has had a bit of a swollen belly and has been turning partially yellow for the past few weeks. she is not lethargic, she does not have clamped fins, her butt does not float, and she is behaving and eating normally!

it looks as though she might have some air trapped under her scales… could this be gas bubble disease? she’s also got some new red marks on her tail, which could be unrelated. i am not sure what could have caused this. i have an HOB filter and an air stone, and the tubing for the air stone occasionally becomes disconnected from the pump. so far, all i have done is dosed seachem stress guard in hopes that it might help her 🥺

my tank parameters have been included in the pictures, and the tank temp is 74°F!!

thank you in advance for any help, i just want my girl to be okay!!

dojo loach turning yellow, but only on one half of his body

hi everyone! i have posted about this guy quite a few times here, so apologies in advance if the answer is to just help him fart/he’s just bloated!

over the past week or so, i have noticed that my dojo’s tail has started to turn a pale yellow color starting right around his butt, which is the area where he seems to be having bloating issues.

within the last month, he was switched from bsfl flakes and freeze-dried bloodworms to frozen daphnia, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen brine shrimp with spirulina, as well as the hikari sinking pellets, bug bites pellets, and the occasional pea!

i am not sure if this color change is happening because of his dietary change, potential weight gain, or if it’s some kind of bruising from being bloated/trapped air (my hypothesis).

is it possible mr. onion is actually ms. onion, and could she(?) just be holding eggs?

he also isn’t bent, just sitting in a silly way!!

water parameters have been included, his tank has no heater, and water temp is 74°f!

thank you in advance for any help!!

EDIT: his behavior is also completely normal, no lethargy, no flashing, and he’s eating normally!

on a scale of 1-10, how worried should i be?

hello everyone! i am not sure what to title this, other than “i’m trying not to freak out right before i go to bed,” but i just fed my dojo and noticed what looked like a worm in the water. in the video, the unknown entity is just above the meniscus of the water, almost in the center of the video. i have prazipro on hand and will dose first thing in the morning if necessary! i haven’t noticed any flashing from my dojo or any odd behavior. thanks in advance for any help!

is this dropsy on my dojo loach?

hi everyone! i am concerned my dojo may have developed dropsy. he is acting completely normal, he is not lethargic, no clamped fins, and always comes to my hand/eats like a normal dojo when it’s feeding time (he eats frozen spirulina brine shrimp, frozen mysis shrimp, frozen daphnia, hikari sinking wafers and bug bites pellets, if that info is important)! however, i’ve noticed that his butt seems to be bloated(?), and i was finally able to get some clear pictures of it. i’m not sure if this is pineconing or not, but this is the only area on his body where this is happening. ive attached water parameters as well, tank temp ranges between 72-74°F! thanks in advance for any help!

new little guy in quarantine, what’s best?

hi everyone! i got this little guy last week, his name is professor noodle. he’s been in a 10gal quarantine tank for the past week.

he’s eating and behaving like a normal dojo, and i haven’t seen any signs of any illnesses (granted, its only been a week)!

i’m curious what the best course of action is for any kind of medicine/preventative care?

what’s the proper amount of time he should be in quarantine?

he hasn’t been dosed with anything yet, i just want to be sure i do the right thing for him!! :D

dojo loach butt bloat (?)

hi everyone!! my dojo loach mr. onion seems to have some bloating around his butt. it seems to be even on both sides, and i don’t see or notice any pineconing.

he was moved to a bigger tank about 10 days ago, and it’s a bit taller than his last one. i am wondering if maybe he is having a hard time discerning how high the water goes, and is thus having a problem getting up to gulp air. the filter itself agitates the water a decent amount.

last night i gave him half of a blanched/peeled pea and he gobbled it right up. i also watched him come up to the top and he seemed to gulp some air and then fart.

my plan as of right now is to fast him until tonight (24hrs from when he had the pea) and then try giving him another half of a blanched/peeled pea. other than the butt bloat, he’s acting like his normal, goofy self!

my question is: am i treating this properly, or is there anything better that i could be doing?

i attached pictures of his bloat (as best as i could get them, he’s not a fan of holding still in the mornings), as well as the water test results from this morning! his tank temp ranges from 72°f-75°f (no heater).

thank you in advance for any help!!
