I'm nearing the end of my first week and I'm blown away

Just a short post to say I'm totally blown away by this first week. I started on the 2.5mg starter dose. At first I thought the lack of food noise I was experiencing was a placebo effect, but it definitely isn't - I'm just not thinking about food like I used to and I no longer have the visceral cravings I had before! I've even been purposely trying to think about my trigger foods to see if I have a mental or physical reaction and... nothing. Absolutely the craziest thing I've ever experienced. I finally feel like I can think about food like a "normal" person. I can't wait to see what this journey is like moving forward.

If you're reading this and you're still on the fence about giving tirzepatide a try: just try. It very well could be a life changing experience.

Just got prescribed and I'm super nervous to start

So after many back and forth conversations with my doctor, she prescribed me tirzepatide. I am absolutely terrified to start.

A little about my situation: I'm just over a year postpartum with my first child. I had horrible postpartum anxiety and depression, and it's taken a good amount of time to get these issues leveled out with medication. I'm insanely worried about these two issues rearing their heads again.

I'm also very worried about the possible side effects, especially gastroperesis.

Has anyone looked into the rate at which gastroperesis actually occurs with this med? What about mental health side effects? I know there are a lot of positives I'm just really nervous.
