I recently got accepted into ASU for their masters in social work program and I am curious if anyone else has gone there for their MSW. I am planning on doing the program online and over 3 years since I’ll still be working full-time as a psychometrist administering neuropsychological testing. (My bachelors degree is in psychology, not social work unfortunately, so the 1-year accelerated program was not even an option. It was between 2 or 3).

My employer is paying for my masters, which I am very grateful for. There is a fairly extensive list of possible programs I could attend, but I live in Arizona, so I feel like it makes sense to pursue a masters in the state I eventually plan on getting licensed in- at least that’s what I’ve heard from others. I’d appreciate any other perspectives on that.

I went to ASU for my undergrad, so I am pretty familiar with the school, but I am a little bummed to not be pursuing a degree elsewhere to diversify my resume. I’d love to hear if anyone went to ASU and felt positive about their social work program.

Thank you for your time!
