Is this safe?

I put this thermos of hot water inside of my tank with the lid on, and was wondering if it’s safe to be in there? My room gets pretty cold, and was thinking this was a possible way to keep the tank warm and humid. It’s in there just fine and my millipede is hiding on the opposite side of the tank. Thoughts?

Giant african molting??

My giant african millipede has been under his substrate for maybe a month now, it hasn’t smelled funky or anything, so I don’t think he’s dead. I read online that molting can take months sometimes. When should i expect a foul odor if hes dead? Thank you everyone:)
