LJR B Grade Fragments

Had GX Fragments for a couple months and really like the build on these. Especially for the price. Only problem I have is I get decent heel slip on them.

Grabbed some LJR B grade because all my LJR fit TTS. Problem with these is the bad creasing I got with an hour of wearing them.

I wanna grab a couple more pairs of GX lows but don’t want to run into the same sizing issue. I’m gonna ask for insole measurements but what I’m wondering is if anyone else has run into GX running at least a half size bigger?

This review is only my opinion on these shoes. It is not meant to endorse or promote any seller or product.

M Batch strengths:
M really gets the shape right the best out of all 3. Has good speckling patterns. They do great on the deep purple color on the middle, heel and toe panels. It has a well shaped toe box and the most accurate sock liner pattern color. Great suede movement on the entire shoe

M Weakness:
The biggest one on these is the blending of the back and toe panels into the rest of the shoe. The lighting of pictures makes it look like it differs more than it does. In hand, it has a more uniform look. Nike stitching on the heel is the oversized.

OG strengths:
OG is top notch with the material they use. Suede has that buttery feel to it. Tongue is padded and stuffed really well. They also do a good job with the purple on the middle and toe panel. Consistent speckling. Probably the most comfortable( in my opinion) on foot. Also OG is the most broken in out of the three so take that with a grain of salt.

OG weakness:
Same with M, only the issue is reversed. The panels are way too light and washed out looking. Bulkier toe box than M and S2.

S2 strengths:
Best and most accurate Nike stitching on the heel. Made a decent attempt at separating the panels. Okay tongue on them, as well.

S2 weakness:
I gotta say I was really disappointed on these. Color is washed out and ashy looking. So is the sock liner. Suede movement is okay, but the shoe just looks too cheap for what it cost. I’d recommend this one the least out of the 3. I don’t regret getting shoes too much but I’d be returning these if it were an option.

If RSD ever does put together a lobster batch, I hope they do what these factories have failed to do so far. Pull and combine the strengths from each batch into some purple lobster 2.0 hybrid.

As always, a smooth transaction with RM. They’ve become my go-to with their quick response time and shipping.

Retail has gray laces
S2 has Carolina blue
(Retail size is 11.5 while S2 is 12. This might account for any height differences)

Similarities:

S2 nailed the color on these. The suede feels and looks almost identical. The cracked leather panels have the same detailed appearance as retail. Colors on the swoosh and heel are spot on. The tongue matches up well. So does the tag and placement. Shape and height are very similar. Soles on S2 have the icy blue look that comes on retail. The decals on the bottom are really accurate and well placed. Hard to speak on how it feels on foot since my retail are half size smaller than I usually go but S2 feels just as good as any other SB I have.

Differences:

Retail has a thicker and stronger leather feel. This could be because of the wear away details underneath on retail that I’m assuming S2 doesn’t have. I’m not for sure on that, though. Nike logo is bigger on the heel on S2. The swoosh also tapers down thinner on retail. I think one of the most obvious things S2 got wrong was the color thread used on the midsole. Retail uses red while S2 uses a light brown/cream color.

Overall I think S2 was really solid on these. I was pleasantly surprised with how well they turned out.

Chasing these shoes was what got me into reps in the first place. I knew I wasn’t going to be able to afford retail or ever comfortably wear them if I got them for that matter,so I started looking for other routes. Through some hard lessons and mistakes I think most of learn getting started in this deal, I eventually got linked with the RSD community. Shout out to all you guys for keeping this thing progressing and helpful. Best sub on here by far. Got me hooked in with some solid sellers and haven’t found a reason to look anywhere else.

(Never actually had a pair of retail in hand. This post is just my opinion between these two batches)

Anyways,

The purple OG were the first reps I got from a trusted seller. So, I might be holding some nostalgia and biased towards them, but these have stayed one of my favorite pairs. Got the MBatch after a decent amount of people saying they’re the best batch for this shoe. I’ll tell you M doesn’t disappoint.

The biggest differences are the color in the back and toe panel. OG comes in much lighter than M. With the quarter and toe box being a deeper purple on M, as well. Suede movement is great on both pairs. M has the more metallic and sharper swoosh. The picnic sock lining on both is solid and well done. With OG having a lighter shading of purple. The lobster shell speckling looks good on both, but M edges out OG in consistency, in my opinion. OG toe box is more boxed. M still falls short with the undersized tongue compared to OG batch.

In my opinion, M seems to come much closer to retail based on color and shape. This opinion is solely based off pictures I’ve seen. However, my personal preference is still OG. I like the way the panels are broken up color wise. M feels like to much of a solid purple. Still plan on rocking both, though.

I’ve been a big fan of these shoes for awhile and decided to grab an extra pair to save some mileage on the retail. In my option m batch did a great job on these.

Similarities:

The suede came out with decent movement you’d expect from a mid tier batch. Also had the same deep black that the retail has. The gum sole is an exact match and the canvas has the same texture on both pairs. They nailed the shape. Next to each other they look pretty indistinguishable. Same height and toe box shape. Swoosh placement is good. Stitching came out really clean. M batch mimics the same snug feeling I get from retail.

Differences:

Most of the graphics on the retail have a dull color to them with a few on each shoe being noticeably more vibrant than the rest. The artwork on the m batch sticks with the duller coloring throughout the shoe. The tongue on the retail is much taller and fuller than m batch. Something I believe M have fallen short on with most supreme dunk reps. Some of the graphics are misaligned from retail but not a big deal in my opinion.

Overall a solid well done rep by M batch.

Grabbing the kid some school shoes and the agent sent a picture with a found flaw. I can’t see it from any of the other pictures that are taken from the agents QC drone. I’m not concerned about it visually since I’m sure they’ll be dirty in no time. More curious if anyone has an experience of it causing quicker separation than normal wear and tear would. If not I’ll just send it. Wanted to see what you guys thought first. Appreciate it fellas.

Both amazing pairs. Haven’t been this excited for some to show up for awhile.

Pros: Grey has great suede movement on these and nailed the imprint placement. Stitching is solid and the embossing on the tongue and heel is on point. They have the same comfort you’d feel in any other gx pair. More room in the toe box but that’s something I’ve always been a fan of. As far as the glow goes, you could land an airplane at 2am with these.

Cons: suede on the black isn’t quite as alive as I hoped it would be. Handprint stitching on the grey doesn’t quite pop the same as retail.

Overall a solid rep for a shoe that I would imagine isn’t very easy to produce.

S2 did a solid job with the shape on this one. The swooshs are all on point and correct color. The tongue texture and size look great and the overlaying suede color matches up to retail. The toe box and side color is a much more teal than blue that retail has. Bubblegum spots are slightly off but something you don’t notice if they’re not side by side. Nike text on the heel is thicker on retail pair. S2 has a line of stitching missing on heel. Suede moves a little stiffer on S2 but I think that’s to be expected on these. Would love to see an improvement on the color is these ever get a restock. Overall a solid pair.

Green Lobsters S2 batch - grabbed these looking for a little more accurate swoosh. They have decent suede movement and feel good on feet. Probably still end up grabbing the OG at some point.

Black Pigeon S2 - Love this shoe. Excited to throw some concrete under it. Missed a little bit of paint bleeding down into the orange on the right heel but that’s on me. Other than that,psyched on how these came out.

Chunky Dunky S2 - Grabbed this batch on recommendation from RM( for accuracy) and from what I’ve seen in the community. Colors are vibrant and the fur moves around well (not all matted down). Had the toe box crease pretty bad on me almost right away. I think on this one you sacrifice visual accuracy for durability you would get on m batch. Could’ve been my sizing though. They feel roomier than most SB’s. Might’ve done better sticking with my tts instead of going up a half like I usually do.

Paris - swoosh placement, stitching, material all came out amazing on this. I doubt I’ll ever put hands on a retail to compare this to but it’s just a fire pair all around.

Shipping on Paris and Pigeon came FedEx and took about 9 days to U.S. from label creation.

Lobsters and Chunks went UPS and took about 18 days from label. Nothing to do with rm just held up at customs.

Had smooth transaction with RM as usual. Answered any questions along the way.

Both pairs came out clean. Would’ve green lit them both off QC photos. Only complaint I would have is the suede on the right toe box of the olives looks like a different quality than the left. Nothing major. I didn’t notice until I was swapping the laces. Still a banger for the price and quick arrival.

First off respect to the mods of this group. I’ve been working my way through a few of them and this is by far the best and most helpful I’ve come across.

Hoping this helps some beginners avoid some of the mistakes I’ve made starting out.

I started wearing Nike SB’s when I was 14 and after 23 years, I started to get an itch that could only be scratched with rebuilding that collection, but after six months of dropping, who knows how much on retail it started to make sense to look for a different alternative for something I was gonna throw on concrete.

I came across RepDogs and started trying to work my way through the process on how to buy, but I think like a lot of people who are unfamiliar with it. I had the worry of getting ripped off. So I made one of the first buys I regret. Going to eBay for reps. (blue and purple lobster) In my mind at least if the shoes didn’t show up I could get my money back($160usd blue/$190 purple😬). And I may have kept going that route if I hadn’t seen how much better the quality and price were after really digging in to this forum. I don’t think this is breaking news by any means, but just to make it clear those eBay reps were the hottest of garbage. Chalk it up to a learning curve.

Next, I went to Google and came across hypeunique. Again, as someone who was worried they were gonna get taken for a ride on this. I felt a little more comfortable knowing I could pay with credit card and having a better possibility of getting my money back if I got screwed. I grabbed the Travis Scott SB‘s from there. No mention of a batch, bad QC Photos, but I didn’t know anything about that at the time and I didn’t ask questions. Shoes got shipped and delivered at a reasonable time and superior quality compared to the ones I got off eBay. It was the same concept as getting laid by a 6. It looks impressive when all you’ve ever got were twos. None of the swishes were placed right and I wouldn’t call the quality bad but not up to the quality and price($150 w/cc fee) I now understand is possible for these.

So I made some mistakes out of the fear of getting taken. I don’t think it’s abnormal, but definitely could’ve been avoided with a little more research and patience on my part.

After these few not great experiences, I decide to use the trusted seller list because like any good addict I’m not stopping. I’m just adjusting accordingly.

Again to anyone newer, skeptical, reading this a big concern of mine was sending money PayPal and just having it be gone in the wind. But after reading through a lot of post, I decided to hit up repsmaster.

Responses were quick and any questions I had were answered. There’s no doubt why a lot of people put him in GOAT status.

I grabbed the orange lobsters first in the a.m.(got QC that day) and by 10 that night, I had already talked myself into grabbing the blue and purple. I live in the southeast United States and from order place to delivery, they got here in about 14-15 days.

Review:
Disclaimer. I’ve never actually help a retail pair in hand so this is going off my experience in SB in general.

Each one of them lived up to the expectations I had for them. The suede moves beautifully, especially on the blue. The shape looks and feels right. Like I said, I’m not sure if it’s like this with the retail pair but most of the SB’s I have aren’t very comfortable out of the box. So far these ones feel good wearing them hours at a time. The color isn’t the same as the retails and for what I can tell if you’re looking for that, I would lean more towards the S2. However, in my opinion, the quality of the suede and the speckling far outweigh that. There’s no doubt why the OG is the batch to go for, for these.
