Weird save issues

Hello everyone,

I’m a survey CAD tech and I just used layer states for the first time and I think it messed up my edits.

Basically what happened was I created a layer state for all things boundary/easements and another for all layers that I would want to plot (same as the other but plus utilities, improvements, etc). I spent the morning working in the easements layer state then had to switch gears and clean up linework so I switched to the plot layer state. I saved throughout. I made a save as drawing to prep to send to the engineer, and when I went back to the original drawing and went back to the easements layer states, I noticed almost all my easements edits were gone. All the linework edits I made were still there, so it wasn’t a save issue. I also looked at the save-as drawing and saw the easement edits weren’t there either.

I am not convinced it’s a layer state issue, because many of the edits I made after creating the layer state were still there, but not all of them. I just don’t know what else it could be. I’ve been drafting for almost 4 years and never experienced anything like this. Using layer states is the only thing that’s different today from any other day.

Note: I updated C3D yesterday so everything should be up to date.

What the heck is going on 😭

What is happening to these stems?

Context: I live in an apartment so my garden is at my FIL‘s house. I have raised beds, a few things planted directly into the ground, and a drip irrigation system that waters everything. This is my first year with the irrigation system and my second year with the garden so I am still learning a ton. Last weekend I switched from watering 20 minutes every day to 30 minutes every other day since everything had sprouted. I stop by a couple times a week to do some weeding, make sure everything looks okay, and harvest anything that is ready to be picked. When I got there today I saw a rain delay had been set, presumably earlier this week when that storm came through. I also saw that the water frequency was set to every 12 hours. I am 95% sure I set it to 48 hours when I switched it but I supposed I could have misread the dial.

When I checked on the garden today, I noticed that about half of my squash, a couple bush beans, and one of my pumpkins had this weird rot in the stem right at ground level. The rest of the plants looked fine apart from some leaves that had been nibbled on a couple weeks ago. Since then I treated the plants with neem oil, on the advice of a garden center.

Any ideas what this could be? TIA!!

I live inside the Colfax Marathon closure

I live north of Colfax near Colfax and Carr. Looking at the map, it looks like the route goes completely around my block. We’ll be out of town but we have cat sitters coming to take care of our kitties. (I don’t wanna hear it about how cats can be left alone for days at a time we don’t do that!! Too many sudden medical emergencies in our past to trust that they’ll be ok alone for >12 hours.) Is there really no way to get through the loop that goes around Colfax/20th/Pierce/Glen drives? Seems crazy and potentially dangerous to keep people in/out of that area for 8+ hours.
