Career change to construction finance

I’ve been in finance my whole life and have found it to be very boring and lacking any sort of substance (I work operations for a large bank). My friend works for a construction company and has been trying to convince me on becoming a cost manager for his company he works for. While I have no experience in construction finance, I am very good at learning numbers and processes from a ground zero level. I took him up on a referral, and got a phone screening scheduled from a recruiter almost immediately after applying. They’ve seen my resume and I’m positive they know I have no construction experience. I am genuinely interested in this career and have heard it comes with a lot of changes and different things happening on different days (on top of that, it’s a traveling position). overall, the opportunity in front of me is nothing short of beneficial for me and my career, and most importantly I can see myself actually enjoying it. Does anyone have any sort of advice as to changing careers into construction finance? Any tips or knowledge to help me in my coming interviews will be greatly appreciated, feel free to reach out personally as well.

Early career pivot

22m and recently started a clearing operations role at a large bank. Been with for about 6 months. Pay sucks (55k), working 10 hour days, haven’t heard of anyone ever moving up, only horizontal (some people have been in the same role for 6+ years). Feel like it’s way too early to consider switching as it’s my first job post-grad and figure another company doesn’t want someone with that little experience. Overall, feel like I really lowballed myself and am quite stuck on what I should do.
