SEAI external insulation grant, am I fxxked?
So for context, we have had our end of terrace house fully wrapped by an approved SEAI contractor. The job finished on the 08/06 with the final invoice being issued, the job started on the 11/05.
I had whole heartedly believed I applied for the insulation grant back in January but obviously hadn’t as I was up to my eyes in other renovation work. I applied for the grant on the 25/05 during the works. I only copped it this evening that the grant is only payable once it has been approved (approved on the 27/05) and then the works can start. I understand that they are incredibly strict and it cannot be appealed, is there any likelihood that an exception can be made? Or have I stupidly done myself out of 6k.
Has anyone had this issue before with some positivity?
Or offer any guidance? Ideally those working in this space.
