Salesforce Data Export Service, while included in the platform, is a weak backup offering. I believe many organizations do not fully understand their exposure until they need to restore lost or corrupted data.

Which Salesforce backup tools would you recommend, and why?

Do you prefer Salesforce’s native Backup & Recover solution, or a third-party product from
provider s such as Own, Copado, Gearset, etc?

I’m especially interested in hearing what Salesforce customers and Consultants recommend, what they avoid, and the reasons behind those decisions.
