Okay , I don’t know how to start this , so I’m just gonna jump right in :

Zenitsu is one of the few characters in
that deals with a really bad topic : overly clingy / hypersexuality etc .

This show made him unlikable because he has a problem that Is really awful , and the show SHOWS us that it’s awful . And the worst part is that he doesn’t even really change from his ways , his backstory / trauma genuinely really ruined him in a way that is literally so bad and hard to change , yet people just call him annoying / perverted instead of looking into his character and that sucks . It sucks because he is literally really well written . He genuinely is unattractive , creepy , and he hates himself and the show goes into it .

Plus , if you defend Obanai but hate zenitsu , you’re literally biased because Obanai did a lot of things zenitsu did . ( not saying Obanai is some awful character , I don’t like him , but he’s not an awful character . )
