Looking for a new camp spatula for cooking

My partner and I made the switch to stainless steel/titanium cooking and eating utensils last year. We purchased the Stansport Stainless Steel Cooking Utensils for $10 on amazon last fall. They were great until they weren't. During our last camping trip, my partner was making burgers over the camp stove and put too much pressure trying to smash the meat down. The spatula split in half, flipping and sending the hot frying pan full of hot oil and burgers straight into his hand. He sustained some burns which are now fully healed thanks to some friends who had a homemade candula salve (always bringing this camping now!) ....Anyway, now we need a cooking spatula that WON'T snap in half under heat and pressure.

I came across the expensive Sea to Summit Detour Stainless-Steel Utensil Set on REI's website and am curious if these are worth it. I like how they store compactly and they would fit nicely in our camp box. Compact isn't necessary and we really only need a spatula, but I'm not sure I want to use the Stansport spoon and fork after what happened.

Would these be worth it or are there other stainless cooking utensils out there that don't break the bank but are durable and long-lasting?

Personal Training / Teaching Yoga

I'm looking into going into a new career. Over the past few years I've become more passionate about moving my body whether that be doing yoga, going to the gym, etc. A couple of years ago I received my YTT200hr certification and did a short stint teaching at a tiny yoga studio before they went out of business. I've learned over time that I really enjoy supporting and helping people, especially in moving their bodies and feeling good.

I have an opportunity to take a hybrid NASM personal training certification course at a local university that partners with personal trainers at a local gym. I have no issues wearing a mask when I work out at the gym, but I have anxiety about new experiences when wearing a mask while potentially coaching at the gym or studio. I know the answer is most likely, "just do it", but I'm curious if anyone here has had any experience as a personal trainer or yoga instructor and masking. I live in a politically purple leaning red area, and feel like it may be a turn off to other people.

16g jewelry in gun-pierced helix 20 years later

About 20 years ago in high school, I got my helix pierced at Claire’s with a gun. It healed fine and I wore jewelry in it off and on for about 10 years. One day I left it out for a few hours and later couldn’t find the hole, so assumed it closed.

A few months ago, I went to Studs and the piercer was able to get a taper through it easily. She said I could reopen it, but I chose to get a different piercing instead.

Today, I went to a local tattoo shop that I trust to reopen it. They only had an apprentice available. She was pretty condescending about Claire’s and pushy about using 16g jewelry, even after I explained it was originally pierced with a gun. She ended up using 16g anyway.

She said that since it was fully healed that I don’t have to do any extra care and that the pinching would wear off after about a day. I’ve always understood that cartilage doesn’t stretch and was wondering if what happened with my piercing is normal. I’ve never reopened a piercing before and had never heard of putting larger jewelry into cartilage.

Anyone have any insight for me? Do I need to take any extra care for my reopened piercing and is the 16g okay or should I go back and request a smaller gauge?
