Matt sent me a photo of my finished 16oz AA Chegui and they look pretty good! I asked him to make a pair out of the most ridiculous material he could find and we went with Barramundi leather on the lower outer fist. The world’s first fish leather boxing glove?

finally got a display setup for my office. I want to fill the last 4 spots with gloves, I’ve got a pair of Chegui AAs on order… Need some ideas. No set budget.

I managed to get the new Hit N Move Vector Japanese style training gloves in 16oz lace ups pre release. They shipped out from the US to me in Qatar in 3 days, which is insane given the logistics nightmare cause by the regional conflict.

First impressions: extremely high quality gloves, the leather, stitching and liner are top tier. Padding feels very protective (apparently a 6x multilayer foam glove) and somewhat responsive - similar to Winning.

The hand compartment is snug, way closer to the feel of my 12oz Winning than the 16oz. The built in knuckle guard is a nice addition as well, its to help preserve the padding as well since they want people to use these for bag work and sparring.

I've posted a 19 minute close up unboxing and comparison with the two Winning gloves in the pictures, on my Tiktok account if you want to have a closer look. It's my first ever gear review video so bare with me on the quality.

This glove is definitely going to have a lot of hype around it. Will report back after 2/3 weeks of exclusively using this + my new compact 16s.

12oz lace ups in gold to rotate for my padwork days, 10oz in the “Inoue vs Donaire 1“ colours.

I’m toying with the idea of doing my one and only 4 rounder for my 40th birthday / midlife crisis. So I figured why not see what the 10oz gloves would feel like.

Potential fight date around Feb/March 2027…

my favourite gloves of my collection, the design being an homage to Denim Tears but in gold.

I must confess that I stole this idea from a friend in Dubai who had his done in black on a white glove but I took it a step further.

most of my gear has gold on it too.

I suppose I settled on two types of boots that I really like.

I’ve got a Mizuno finisher coming in next week and a Wave Monster on pre order. So I will stray from Nike for the first time in a while.

the custom work I had done on my Winnings were by a local leather artist. I’d like to do a separate post on my ”denim tears“ white & gold 12s because I absolutely love them.

I’ve got a few new ones coming in over the next couple weeks.

From the Mexican slide, I have given away most of the gloves to some young amateur fighters at my gym and at home. I’m left with the red Bayo MLHH and the custom BTM 12s.
