Strike and Laptops

When we went on strike in 2001, there were no laptops. We all just walked out, leaving our desktop PCs and UNIX stations behind.

Are we supposed to leave laptops locked in desk drawers? What happens from the company perspective if we take them home?

Also, does logging on during a strike constitute a voluntary return to work? Is it essentially “scabbing” or “crossing the line”? How would this be prevented ?

I feel some guidance from the union on this matter would be valuable…

Picket Shifts Plus Monday Mornings

IF we DO end up on strike, from my experience in 2001:

My wife and I both received our picket shifts and went to them religiously, in good and bad weather (it was February), even though they were from 2am to 5am.

BUT we also picketed an extra shift on Monday mornings, because that's how the opposition gauges our resolve. "How many heads are there out there this week? Hmm not as many. They are losing their nerve".

Picket on your shift, and pick up extras, especially Monday mornings.

Old Guy. Big Faves are Rush, 90s Alt/Grunge

Please recommend me something from this millenium that will ALWAYS be on your list. Technically brilliant bass a plus but not required.
