Strike and Laptops
When we went on strike in 2001, there were no laptops. We all just walked out, leaving our desktop PCs and UNIX stations behind.
Are we supposed to leave laptops locked in desk drawers? What happens from the company perspective if we take them home?
Also, does logging on during a strike constitute a voluntary return to work? Is it essentially “scabbing” or “crossing the line”? How would this be prevented ?
I feel some guidance from the union on this matter would be valuable…
