Problems with Joint Accounts
Has anyone else had issues linking joint bank accounts to external merchants for auto bill pay and/or direct deposit? My husband and I set up a joint SoFi account several months ago, which we were excited to do because they were a relatively new offering and we had our previous joint account with another bank. We both have individual SoFi accounts that have always worked the way they're supposed to. But now I'm trying to set up direct deposit through ADP as well as an auto bill pay for our electric company for our new joint account and can't get it to work. I've contacted SoFi twice about this and they've been completely unhelpful. I also tried setting the auto bill pay in my husband's name just in case it was a name mismatch issue, but that didn't work either. I'm at my wit's end and considering switching banks because this defeats the whole purpose of having an online bank!
