I appreciate this organization greatly in general and here for transparency and ownership.

Obviously, winning is huge for us, for any team, but part of my response to this is that "win, lose, or tie; Oakland until I die." I know the organization feels the same.

The other part is, yes, let's get them next year!

I do really like some of our late season pickups will be huge. Winters looks to have elite zone command as a hitter and may really come into his own in terms of power. He hits tons of doubles historically, and as he gets stronger, many will turn to homers.

Abe-Arias looks very promising on the mound.

And I think some will be back. I suspect Ybarra will likely go to the AA but there is some chance he returns. More time at 3b will help his chances at an affiliated contract, which, may be hard to get as a 1b in an offensive oriented league.

For the rest of this year I want for Ybarra to hit at least 3 more homers in the last 7 games, set the league record and stay ahead of the players with 30 plus homers, all 4 of them hitting at thin air elevation, and win the league home run title. I also want for us to go 6-1 the rest of the way to be at .500.

I am proud to be among the ballers hard core fandom and I love the team. Us, the most hard-core fans in the pioneer league, and the organization are truly win lose, or tie; oakland until we die.

Jeter "rampage" Ybarra is our all time home run leader for single season and all time. 32 homers in his 80 of 81 games played. Still on pace to break the league record of 36.

His swing is a perfect inside the ball approach and he drives the ball with power the other way with beauty. When he pulls the ball it generates majestic blasts.

I am rooting for him to get a contract with an affiliated team but I selfishly want him here next year.

We just had our best stretch of the season, an 8-game winning streak, albeit against the worst 2 teams in the league. As stated in bull durham, and known across baseball, one must respect the streak. I hope all of us changed our underwear and socks, but I know I made a point of wearing the same hat, black ballers oaklandish snapback, because I happened to wear it for the first two wins. What did you do to respect the streak? Like I said, please let the underwear be changed, but what funny ritual or routine did you stick to regarding our little 8 game stretch?

A great man once said, "So you're saying there is a chance?" We do have a chance at the post-season. We are 5 games behind missoula for the 2nd spot in the 2nd half. We have 24 games left (only 24!?!?!). For all of our struggles, we have an honest to goodness shot. That stated, our next 18 games are against modesto, lbc, and missoula. Our total record against each thus far is 5-5 against missoula, 5-13 against lbc, and 4-10 against modesto. We finish with 6 at the free birds after, but this could be the toughest stretch of the season. Realistically, I think we have to go at least 12-6, if not better, and likely win all 3 against missoula in this stretch. It's a tall order, but if we make it, we will have really earned it. To catch missoula, we have to pass billings, Idaho, and lbc too....

As far as making it, if either lbc or billings finish in the top 2; we are 7.5 games behind missoula with ogden, glacier, and boise to leap frog. Perhaps a taller order.

Also, I note that the championship series is only 3 games this year, which is too bad. I'd love to see why, though I imagine cost is an issue. The first round is Sept 10 through 12. The championship series is 15 to 18 with a travel day.

Also, rampage update!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Our man Jeter "Rampage" Ybarra sits with a .361/.434/.752 line with a now tied for team record 31 homers. He is 6 ahead of Xavier Casserilla of missoula and Justin "The one that got away" Trimble of Idaho falls.

Jeter is on pace for a league record 41 homers (also 70 in 162 games which is a cool number.)

I know it's been said before but the merch that the ballers do is great. This GP bobblehead being the latest. Just behold. This is legit awesome.

Jeter Ybarra has continued to be on league record pace. At this time he carriers a slash line of .347/.420/.726 with a league leading 25 homers.

He is currently on pace for a league record 40 homers.

For perspective over 162 games his hr pace would translate to 68 bombs.

Ballers pail kids may be the coolest thing ever.

I think he'd really appreciate the championship belts.

I hope he gets a hit in his ab so he can be chanted at all the more.
