how to clean mold in bathroom?

hello all. i have been living in my current apartment for around 9 months and the bathroom has a very serious mold issue that i'm worried is affecting my health.
the mold has grown on the ceiling and in between the bathroom wall tiles in the shower. the caulking, upon move in, almost immediately started falling off (which i noted in my move in inspection check list.) i also took a video of the entire apartment upon move in and noticed there were very faint shadows on the bathroom ceiling where the mold has now grown back.

i try to vent the bathroom as best as i can, but it's an older building so there is no fan. i have to open a window which just opens to a small indoor area that connects to my neighbors bathroom and the apartment building hallway. the windows to the apartment hallways were open for about a week when i initially moved in (and i didn't realize it was windows to the hallways so people could see directly into my bathroom that entire time which is a whole separate issue lol) but since then have been closed.

additionally, there is only one small outlet connected to the light above the sink, and the closest outlet outside of the bathroom is across the hallway in my bedroom. i keep a dehumidifier running 24/7 in my bedroom and open my windows everyday but there is still mold growing in my bedroom too, on the light switch. it doesn't appear that there are any kind of floor vents or other ventilation, besides in the kitchen, in the entire apartment.

i have a bit of a fear of confrontation i think so i've put off involving management. i am also worried about bringing this up with management since i've waited so long to open a maintenance request already. when i was searching for an apartment, i toured a few other apartments owned by the same company and the reviews for those buildings often mentioned mold issues, how badly management handled said issues, and that the tenant often got blamed. there were a few other issues with the apartment when i moved in i haven't brought up either (for example: hallway closet door has broken lower hinge.) this is a smaller complex so i thought maybe it would have better upkeep.

my overarching question is what is the best way to clean the mold in my bathroom given all of the issues i'm experiencing? my lease ends in a few months and i don't think i plan on sticking around since i have experienced quite a decline in my health since moving in. i'm also worried about using bleach due to the lack of ventilation. i have a cleaning brush i keep in my shower and i try to scrub the tub and faucets often but i have been afraid of trying to clean the shower walls since the mold became visible due to lack of ventilation.

i'm currently trying to clean the mold in between the tiles with white vinegar and i've gotten my dehumidifier as close as i possibly can to the bathroom with the extension cord i have but it still just barely reaches the bathroom door. i have the window in the bathroom open too but i can't keep it open constantly because the bathroom door doesn't close fully and i have a cat.
i just had a major surgery a few weeks ago too and i'm trying to not stress myself out too much but i feel like my bathroom is a serious health hazard at this point and i don't know what to do 😭😭

included photos of shower walls, ceiling above the shower, and the window in my bathroom so you guys have a better understanding of what i'm dealing/working with. thank you so much if you took the time to read this

adult romance novels for people who loved YA romance

helloooo. i am trying to reignite my passion for reading and struggling a little bit. in middle school-high school i could read a book in a day, multiple books a week. now as an adult (26f) i have tried to find the same zest i used to have for reading but am struggling to find books that appeal to me. i tried picking up some of the books i used to read and some of them definitely lit the same fire in me, but i think it had more to do with nostalgia than me connecting with the characters like i did when i was younger.

i love romance, drama, and fantasy. books that touch on difficult topics such as grief and loss but can blend things like love and romance. also otherworldly books that have mythical creatures. think vampires, zombies, witches, elves. i love poetry and prose as well, but currently i am seeking a novel to immerse myself in.

recently i finished reading leaving by roxana robinson which is more of a forbidden romance, about a couple having an affair later in life. THAT book unlocked that feeling in me i recall feeling in my adolescence. that excitement for reading where i can't wait to see what happens next. my all time favorite book, which is a YA book, is the sky is everywhere by jandy nelson. that book is where my love for reading really began and is one of the few, if not only, books i have read over and over.

overall i am open to suggestions. if you loved reading when you were younger and then struggled to get back into, please share the books that reignited that spark for you!!

help me choose a rug for my living room please!

hello, i have never purchased a rug before and i am having extreme decision paralysis. there are soooo many options online it is overwhelming me haha. i've primarily been browsing on rugsusa and revival rugs but if anyone has any suggestions from any other web stores i am open to them. also, would this be the correct size for my space?

some things to note: i do plan on replacing a good chunk of the furniture in this room eventually. in particular i would like a new chair, to get a bigger credenza, and eventually to replace my sofa as well but what i have here rn was either free/cheap and i am on a pretty tight budget rn. i also plan on lowering the painting above my couch as suggested in a previous thread of mine on this subreddit. as well as adding more art, throw pillows, etc. just want to get the rug figured out first since i will probably pull colors from whichever one i decide on.

thank you!

how much were you sleeping in the days following laparoscopic surgery?

hello all. i am new to this subreddit. i actually didn't know i had endometriosis until post-op a few days ago. although i have suspected throughout the years.

a little info about my journey thus far:
i (26f) noticed i was having abnormal bowel movements a few months ago. i would say around mid february. i also noticed way back in december that i had some sort of my mass on right side in between my hip and stomach. at the time i wrote it off because i didn't want to go to the doctors for something silly and be labeled anxious. as a teenager and in my early 20s i lost a significant amount of weight and due to that was left with some loose skin so partially out of ignorance i had also assumed maybe the mass was my stomach and/or bladder when it was full. which sounds really silly now, i know. anyways, i went to the doctors for something completely unrelated at the end of march and mentioned some of my symptoms and the mass i had noticed out of curiosity. my doctor was pretty alarmed and i have to give her a lot of credit for how she handled things vs writing my symptoms off. i'm very grateful for that.

i saw a gyno, had an ultrasound, was referred to a surgical oncologist, had a ct scan, and finally had my surgery 3 days ago on the 11th. the ultrasound found a very large mass (19cm x 15cm) so my surgery was a bit rushed. my symptoms had also continued to progress during these last few months. my surgeon told me i would most likely be losing my right ovary, as not much if any ovarian tissue would be left based on the size of my cyst. they still were not certain on the type of cyst it was leading up to my surgery since as previously mentioned the surgery itself was a bit rushed.

reading my after visit notes is basically how i have discovered that i have endometriosis. during surgery my surgeon wrote that she discovered a "chocolate cyst" that was suspected to be an endometrioma. i didn't see my surgeon afterwards but i do have a post-op appointment scheduled where i'm assuming she will give me more information on what she discovered during surgery.

my overarching reason for making this post is essentially to ask others whom have been through something similar how tired they felt and how much they were sleeping the days/weeks following their surgery? i have been trying to do laps around my apartment to avoid blood clots, constipation, etc. and i know it's natural to feel tired after being under anesthesia. yesterday i spent most of the day napping when i wasn't trying to walk around though. i feel like i have more bursts of energy today than i have the last couple of days but even after only sitting down to paint a little i am starting to feel quite tired again.

i haven't left my apartment yet but if im feeling up for it later i want to try to take a small walk around my neighborhood. i just don't want to be pushing myself past my limits or having unreasonable expectations for myself i guess. i've never had a surgery prior to this.

i'd also love to connect with others who are on similar journeys :) being taken seriously as a woman when it comes to our health and wellbeing can feel very isolating at times. thanks for taking the time to read.

did i hang this too low?

i can't tell if i hung this too low or if it just looks awkward because it's all alone on the wall right now lol. most things i've read suggest hanging paintings at eye level but my eye level is a little below the average. i dunno. this is my first time ever trying to truly decorate the space i'm living in.

should i adjust it's placement on the wall, add more art, or add other decor in general? am i overthinking it?
