favorite kpop idol hosted variety shows?

i love seungkwan's bibiddi bobbidi boo and soobin's faves' fave the most tbh (i am biased asf don't come at me)

youngji's nothing much prepared/my alcohol diary is obviously a classic and i like her humor a lot.

sana's fridge interview are fun but i can very rarely finish the episode when i start it. i left even woozi and hoshi's interview in the middle as a huge carat🙂‍↕️ must be my bad attention span vs. the longer length of the videos.

i watched a few clips of lily from nmixx on her show and honestly, her konglish itself is the funniest aspect.

minju's pink cabinet was good too! i originally watched it from boynextdoor's episode with jaehyun and leehan (iykyk)

OH! and also zerobaseone's seok matthew's youtube channel and ateez's recent woosan channel!

kpop christmas songs and japanese releases are better than some actual b-sides

i have never listened to a kpop christmas song that wasn't a fucking banger tbh, every single song is good. and i mean EVERY SINGLE ONE.

like, christmas eveL by stray kids? felix's feliz navidad part💃🏻💃🏻

  • miracles in december EP by EXO?
  • funky glitter christmas by NMIXX?
  • candy by nct dream?
  • doughnut by TWICE?
  • white memories by fromis_9?

ABSOLUTE BANGERS.

and then, japanese releases.

  • hare hare + kura kura by twice?
  • almond chocolate by illit?
  • cookie jar by red velvet?
  • film out + crystal snow + your eyes tell + stay gold by bts?
  • voltage by itzy?
  • mr. taxi by SNSD?

AMAZING.

i'd honestly like more christmas and japanese tracks then b-sides that feel unfinished.

what's smth you'd like to see more and less of in kpop concerts?

(used the ateez pic because the moon is pretty)

personally, for me:

things i'd like to see more of:

- live vocals

- surprise songs

- extended dance breaks

- A LIVE BAND IF IT FITS THE CONCEPT (a good band makes the stage feel that much more alive)

- mtv unplugged for smaller groups

- MORE PROPS!! (considering how kpop is very performance focused, i'd love to see more props being used)

things i'd like to see less of:

- loud backing tracks

- 360 stages (i know that it elevates the fan experience but jihyo talking about how uncomfortable it is especially for gg's when fans surround you on all sides just weirds me out)

- less LED and random visuals on the screen that don't fit the narrative

what k-pop producer idols/idol line do you like the most?

also, please do keep in mind, kpop producer idols might not work the same as producers do in other genres, since they obviously have to both write, compose, produce + perform the songs, so the "level" of involvement in producing might vary across general mainstream pop and k-pop.

out of the following, which producer(s) do you personally think are the most talented?

  • STRAY KIDS (3RACHA) - Bang Chan, Changbin, Han
  • SEVENTEEN - Woozi
  • BTS - RM, Suga, J-Hope
  • I-DLE - Soyeon
  • MONSTA X - Joohoney, Hyungwon, I.M
  • BIGBANG & SOLOIST - GDRAGON
  • NU'EST - Baekho
