battery powered circular saw for plywood

I got today a Kobalt 4.5 in compact circular saw to cut some plywood. I used it with a full 4Ah 24V Max Extended Run battery.

But I still couldn't make 3 full cuts on the width (4 ft cut) of my 1/2 in sheet of plywood. I think I set the depth of cut to maximum so I cut too deep which may have drained battery too fast. Mid way through the 3rd cut, the saw just stopped as if starved for power.

The battery pack was still at 3 bars (over 4) of power.

Do you expect this? Do you think it is because I set the cut too deep causing way too much friction? Or are these tools just bad.

The usage I am looking for out of the tool is rough cutting plywood on the parking lot of the store so I can fit it in my car. So I don't need 100s of cuts. But 3 seems too little.

Any opinion?

Cheers!

Spray paint streak

I am building this piecd. But I am having issues with the finish.

I did two coats of spray paint (krylon colormaxx) after priming with kilz. (Primer brushed on)

I did one horizontal and one vertical coat. I still get streaks. How do you avoid that? Just more coats?
