How do you find out if you have flow or not?

So the way I find flow is by scatting, and I record my scat to a beat and write lyrics to that while listening. I recently posted a song that someone said was trash and I guess it's because it might've not had a flow. I've had scats that didn't have flow but still had a rhythm and pocket, which doesn't make sense to me. It's got me frustrated and confused but how do you guys have a flow? Should I record a scat then give it some time for me to judge if it has flow or not?

I feel like my flows have always been the same. I start either before the first kick, on the kick, or after the kick. Sometimes I'll take pauses in the middle of lines too. I like having a pocket that's both standard and double time. I searched up my question and I'm getting that using the snare or beats 2 and 4 should be the backbone of any flow. I don't really get it though, what if I want to have a flow that has a pocket when you count double time? Then you would count 1, 2, 3, 4 with no pauses instead of 1 and 2 and 3 and 4.
