System draws from grid when charging car, solar goes to battery.

Hi, hoping the community can solve my headache!

I’ve had my solar system (13kW panels, 10kW inverter) for over a year but recently added 32kW Fox batteries. 3 phase domestic system; Australia.
It operates fine with most things but I notice if I plug my car in to charge during the day, whether I allow the full 7kW or limit it to just 4kW, it’ll always pull plenty from the grid and keep directing solar to my battery to charge it. Otherwise it never seems to do this; it’ll priorities self-use for all other demands including air con, pool pump etc. and only charge the battery when there’s excess solar. But not in the case of my car.
Have tried to play with all settings, it’s on self use, I even tried peak shaving and tricking it with 100% SOC and 0.0kw import limit. Regardless, it’ll still happily draw from the grid.

When I’m cranking the aircon it also draws several kWs but seems to be ok, I think. Not shown in the images but it’ll easily draw 5kW hours from the grid while diverting some solar to the battery.

Once the battery is full, it uses the solar production fine!
No idea why it’s treating my car charging different to any other “load” and not prioritising it over the battery, or why it’ll draw from the grid rather than the battery when the solar isn’t quite enough for the load.

Thank you!!
All questions welcomed. Happy to get more info if it helps!
