I've installed a number of distros on a number of PCs that I have used but keep bouncing back to Windows almost by default. Part of it is paying for a family subscription that two of my kids depend on. But I've had enough and think I could fairly painlessly migrate away; most of my work is writing or presenting and I think I can probably translate from LibreOffice to 365 on my work-provided laptop in a relatively painfree way. Filen seems like it would be a good cloud alternative to onedrive.

The only thing I would miss - and miss quite a lot - is my trusty Photoshop 2015 cc with the old, free version of the Nik Collection. Would there be a way to use these in, say, Mint or Pop that isn't going to be hugely demanding on resources?

Hi, I'm driving someone and dropping them off for an event at the City Hall and then going on to the Peak District for a couple of hours before picking them back up again. I've tried using google maps to find a handy drop off point but can't work it out - the traffic system looks nearly as bad as Derby's. Is there somewhere obvious that I've missed? Grateful in advance for any suggestions.
