"Run" by Floor made me realize why Yesterwynde is so divisive.

I don’t mean to spread negativity toward Floor. She is obviously an amazing singer, and this is not meant as an attack on her as an artist or vocalist.

That being said, seeing so many people praise “Run” made me understand a bit better why Yesterwynde has been so divisive.

To me, “Run” feels extremely generic and uninspired. Floor’s voice is great, of course, but the song itself does very little for me. It feels like the kind of track where the main appeal is simply hearing a beloved voice shine over a fairly safe, straightforward, and predictable instrumental background.

And I guess that says a lot about how differently people approach music from artists they love. Some listeners are mostly looking for a strong vocal performance, emotional accessibility, and a semi-catchy melody. For them, the instrumental side, the arrangements, and the overall musical ambition may be secondary.

Other listeners are looking for something more adventurous. They want to be surprised. They want atmosphere, layers, risks, composition, and music that actually brings something new to the table.

That might explain why some people who enjoy a song like “Run” may struggle with an album like Yesterwynde, while people who appreciate Yesterwynde may find “Run” too safe, too conventional, or simply not very interesting.

Of course, this is a simplification, and personal taste is always more nuanced than that. But I do think this difference in expectations helps explain why a musically rich and ambitious album like Yesterwynde can be dismissed by some listeners, while a much more conventional song like “Run” can be praised by many of the same people.

As a retired MS, the new ED spells are everything I ever wanted for solo play

Okay, I'm probably way too late to the party, but I've been watching some post-vocation balance videos and I can't help but feel jealous of ED's new offensive kit. It makes solo hunting look both fun and efficient, pretty much everything I wished for when I last played Tibia back in the early COVID days.

If MS had received this kind of toolkit, I would probably give the game another shot and see if it brings back that old spark. Sadly, the new MS spells don't appeal to me at all. They seem to have a very high skill ceiling, but having to aim waves so often during solo hunts genuinely makes me feel exhausted just watching videos of it, let alone being the one actually playing it.

Again, I know I'm super late to this discussion, but I'm curious: how do other MS players who mainly play solo feel about it?
