I don't listen to Nightwish that often but the ending of Ghost Love Score by Floor Jansen at Wacken 2013 is in my opinion one of the greatest live performances of all time. What an incredible voice! [starting around 8:30 in the video]

She's so incredibly talented and an awesome person as well! I actually ran into her not too long ago. I had no idea she lives just 10 minutes outside my town. What a small world!

I get goosebumps every single time I listen to this. I even cried the first time I heard it. I have never seen or heard of any better voice during a live performance before.

How did you discover Nightwish? I'll go first...

None of y'all will have a crazier story than this, I promise you lol.

I once had a dream that I was at my church and I heard the most beautiful music ever. So I wandered around until I found a room with a band playing a small concert. It struck me as very weird because the singer was female and I'd never seen a metal group with a female lead before. I asked the security guards outside who was playing and they told me "Nightwish". So I ran to find some decent wifi, then pulled out my laptop to look them up- and that's when I woke up with the intense urge to google Nightwish. And I was completely stunned to find that not only did I dream the band with 100% accuracy (even down to their stage outfits), but the song I heard playing was Dark Chest Of Wonders.

I live alone. No neighbors. Until that point, I hadn't so much as seen their name in a passing glance through a festival lineup. No explanation for this. But I'm glad it happened because they've been an excellent introduction to symphonic metal!

So what's your story?

Great performance of Rest Calm by Anette!

Sounds pretty much like the studio version and she nails some really high notes at the end.

Curti pra krlh."

Rate this setlist

We know Nightwish isn't doing much for their 30th anniversary so we, the tribute bands, are doing what we can to celebrate this.

This is the setlist of the first show of our tour in Chile, would you enjoy this as fans?

Not many singles but this is the short version of the show (other venues allow us to make longer shows)

Define stage presence:

A short clip of Floor's amazing performance at the M'era Luna festival (Germany). Her stage presence is one of the most fascinating things about watching her live. 🔥

Thank you for the incredible support for "Three Decades of Nightwish"! 🖤

Hello, fellow Nightwish family,

I wanted to take a moment to step away from the usual album discussions and fan theories to share something deeply personal with this community, centered entirely around our shared love for the band's incredible legacy.

As some of you may know, I recently spearheaded a major cultural project right here in Sofia, Bulgaria, dedicated to celebrating Three Decades of Nightwish—honoring thirty years of the music, the poetry, the symphonic mastery, and the profound emotional sanctuary this band has built for millions of us worldwide.

When you pour your heart, soul, and countless sleepless nights into a tribute of this scale centered around Nightwish's milestone, you hope that art bridges gaps. The project itself was a massive triumph for local fans, drawing wonderful reactions and celebrating the rich musical journey of Tuomas, Floor, Kai, Marko, Emppu, Troy, Jukka, Tarja, and Anette, and the entire history of the band we cherish.

While navigating local administrative hurdles to secure a permanent cultural footprint for the exhibition was an uphill battle—dealing with months of municipal delays and having to officially escalate the matter to the city council just to get a proper response—the true heartbeat of this project has always been the music itself.

Despite the bureaucratic silence from local culture officials, the exhibition received incredible validation from institutions that recognized the cultural weight of honoring thirty years of Finnish metal artistry:

  • I was deeply honored to receive an official congratulatory address from the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Ms. Iliana Yotova.
  • I also received an official statement and institutional backing from the Ministry of Education and Culture of Finland (from Minister Mari-Leena Talvitie), recognizing the event’s deep connection to Finnish culture, the spirit of Sisu, and the global cultural impact of Nightwish's music.

Why am I sharing this here, in the heart of the Nightwish subreddit? Because this band’s music has always been about rising above the noise, carrying heavy burdens with grace, and finding light when things get difficult. Your community, your passion for this music, and the relentless spirit woven into every single song have been a massive source of personal strength for me while bringing this tribute to life.

Thank you for reading, for keeping the flame alive, and for being such an extraordinary global family united by this magnificent music. Here is to thirty years of Nightwish, and here is to never letting our creative fire be extinguished.

Always through the dust and the pain. 🖤🤘

I got this photo almost 7 years ago.

I remember the guy checking my VIP status telling me I was "brave for wearing that" about my shirt.

Ive had this shirt since I was 15(33 now), can anyone tell me what point it came from? I wish I could take a better photo but rhe shirt is so old and faded. Back of it has a very upclose photo of Tarja resting her head in her hands and has like a rose motif around her

Once is highly overrated.

I can't be the only one who thinks Once is a very overrated album, don't get me wrong I think it's still a great album however people act like its their best album and imo I wouldn't even have it in their top 5 best albums. Ofcourse it has its moments no denying that, but I do not think it's anywhere near as good as people say it is. Just an opinion.
